This. For fun go and look up her first couple of books and compare that woman to the woman we see now. It’s like a completely different person. That person doesn’t exist anymore.

Major points for Jen, though, allowing her daughter to actually become an adult and allowing her to use her own voice regarding her coming out.

Rachel Hollis’ 14 year old son never got that option.

All of Jen’s kids have valid reasons to need some triage time. Their parents had a dramatic breakup that played out in public. Their servant hearted dad who kept the show going while mom was on the road was no longer around and they had to reconcile how their hero could become the betrayer of the family.
No doubt Sidney is an articulate, brilliant idealist much like her mother but she’s suffered being triangulated in her parents marriage and divorce. Easy to understand why fun musings about people’s birthdates would be more enjoyable than her Christian upbringing. Which all has to feel somewhat disingenuous watching her parents veer so far from their original teachings.
Her courage to express her sexual orientation on a podcast with her mom going out to millions is commendable. Would she have chosen to so had her mom not become a champion of the cause? Maybe, maybe not. Regardless her life has been lifted up for public consumption precisely because it’s profited her mother as she curated her brand as a relatable mom. Now she’s monetizing this mom brand yet again with her parenting me course. Unfortunately that does bring into question, are the kids ok? What is Jen’s evidence of expertise in this area? They are just young adults who have a long story still to write. No condemnation if there is some mess right now. They get to make their choices and learn their own lessons along the way. But Jen please don’t use them as your collateral. Your more discerning followers may call your debt. They become a part of the discussion only because Jen used them to establish her credibility.

The armchair diagnosing of intimate interpersonal dynamics/psychoanalysis via nothing but social media posts is just real weird to me. There’s discussing where someone’s words and actions violate their professed values, and then there’s creepy conjecture that no professional worth their salt would ever do with someone they haven’t spoken to in a therapeutic setting.

I’m sorry but I disagree with you on the bravery-about-coming-out thing. No. Just no. I don’t think it’s brave. I think it’s narcissistic attention seeking overshare. For anyone. I don’t care. I don’t care about your sex life just like I assume you don’t care about my Wednesday night overweight middle age sneak one in before the kids come in sorry babe beans for dinner sex life either.

You’re gay. You get it on with your own sex. Congrats. Good for you. Here’s a cookie. I don’t care. If I did care about your teenagers sex life that would be freaking weird.
Enough already.

You realize that people are literally murdered for being gay, right? Good for you for not caring, but it's completely disingenuous to pretend that people coming out is unnecessary and "narcissistic attention seeking overshare." When people stop getting murdered, people can stop coming out. ffs

To all the amateur armchair analyzers, I’ve appreciated and enjoyed your insights and conjectures gleaned from a mountain of books, posts, speeches, and podcasts by Jen. Not sure where the moral high ground in this virtual world, but the guilty pleasure of this thread keeps bringing us back.

Finance-even though she literally only started managing her own finances 2 years ago and may still be bracing for some kind of legal ramifications from whatever Brandon was up to pre divorce. Was the urgency with which she filed for divorce seeking legal distance where she may have been liable?
Parenting-while two of her grown kids, by her own admission, were recently in “triage” while living with her. One with a DUI, the other a lesbian astrologer.
Simplicity-while hawking products that take up space and cost lots of cash and buying cars, clothes, trips etc at will.
Wellness-despite her going on psychotropic meds while downing the wine of the week and now promoting CBD for your morning coffee. Also resorting to plastic surgery and cosmetic facial treatments to regain her youthful appearance while claiming it was all diet and exercise, clean living.
Relational wellness-despite her expertise being suspect, first with a difficult divorce that blindsided her then a pseudo love affair with an wanna be influencer in another state.
All four short yet pithy instructional video courses are only $276.
Did I miss something? Maybe she tells folks how to avoid what she did wrong?

I have no words. Just 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Who exactly are these millions of gay Americans being murdered?
People get murdered every day. It’s sad but true.
In fact Christians are the most murdered people in the world, more than any other group by a long shot.

Please probe to me that anybody is getting murdered for being gay over any of the million other reasons people get murdered. Please.

Christianity is the most popular religion in the world, so if people were murdered at random, Christians would be the most murdered people in the world.... This is called base rate neglect.
