Assuming she even knows who Calvin & Augustine are. A theologian she ain’t. |
This is from awhile ago but if you never read it, it’s really great and it applies to Jenn & Glennin & all the other cool progressive Christian dudebros

Is Jen even a Christian anymore? Does she even profess a Christian faith? Does she go to church? Or is she now just "spiritual" or post Christian? For someone who built her fame and fortune on the back of real, committed, devout and earnest Christian women it's odd that a "Bible teacher" isn't really interested in all that anymore. |
Teaching the Christian faith is way too divisive and controversial these days. It's a narrow narrow road getting a lot more narrow.
Way more lucrative and a lot easier to just promote a vague feel good prosperity message not really tied to anything at all. This is the wider and easier path Jen decided to head down. Basically she sold out. |
Damn. This is thought provoking. |
Don’t worry, guys. Jen is concerned about gas prices too. (As she drives her BRAND NEW SPECIAL ORDERED BRONCO)
In the words of whichever awesome commenter finally broke Rachel Hollis - “Unrelatable AF”. |
This inflation thing my mean three MeCamps this summer and not four. Its brutal out there, guys. |
On her me course page she’s advertising the 4 courses as advice on living for “the rest us.” She’s not like the rest of us is she?
Finance-even though she literally only started managing her own finances 2 years ago and may still be bracing for some kind of legal ramifications from whatever Brandon was up to pre divorce. Was the urgency with which she filed for divorce seeking legal distance where she may have been liable? Parenting-while two of her grown kids, by her own admission, were recently in “triage” while living with her. One with a DUI, the other a lesbian astrologer. Simplicity-while hawking products that take up space and cost lots of cash and buying cars, clothes, trips etc at will. Wellness-despite her going on psychotropic meds while downing the wine of the week and now promoting CBD for your morning coffee. Also resorting to plastic surgery and cosmetic facial treatments to regain her youthful appearance while claiming it was all diet and exercise, clean living. Relational wellness-despite her expertise being suspect, first with a difficult divorce that blindsided her then a pseudo love affair with an wanna be influencer in another state. All four short yet pithy instructional video courses are only $276. Did I miss something? Maybe she tells folks how to avoid what she did wrong? |
Why does she like to sit with her foot pulled up with her heel up by her crotch for these videos? Flexible-ok, crutch heel visuals, ewww. |
Clean living and exercise, my fat ass.
It's all nip and tuck and peel. Girl, you lyin. Isn't your brand authenticity? |
Would love to hear recommendations from anyone who follows women that are actually helpful in these areas!
Any parenting experts (with solid functioning teen/adult children)? Any wellness influencers who don’t surgically alter themselves? |
i am not an expert, but my two grown daughters are doing pretty well by anyone's standards. one married, one not, both gainfully employed, living on their own and paying their own bills. |
Dang. And no you didn’t miss anything. |
The “lesbian astrologer” comment in the same bucket as a DUI is totally uncalled for. I’m thinking we can reflect on Jen’s disappointing pivot towards materialism and appearances while leaving her kids out of this. Also, let’s not equate “narrow Christianity” with homophobia. The narrow path of Christianity is about solidarity with the pariah, disrupting exploitative systems, radical generosity, loving self-sacrifice. It IS hard, but it’s not hard because the world is evolving to understand the reality that sex, gender, and sexuality exist on spectrums. Just like we know slavery is wrong and women aren’t property, we can continue unraveling the gospel in our own contexts using the intelligence we were created with. |
She does throw in a vague Jesus reference once in a while that I guess is a bone to her Christian followers to keep them thinking she still believes and from totally ditching her. |
