From the latest reports I read in WaPo it sounds like the family all remains in Ukraine. ![]() |
I don’t understand why these countries don’t come together and create a no fly zone over Kyiv, or over Ukraine for that matter. Putin is done. This is not the way it was supposed to go for him — he’s trying to withdraw. |
And their children born here are automatically US citizens. |
The answer to my question is nothing excludes even the head of the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN from voting on the mayor, ballot initiatives, etc "Under a new bill approved by the New York City Council, any eligible non-citizen New Yorker would be able to start registering to vote as a “municipal voter” on December 9, 2022. Once registered, they could begin voting in local elections as of January 9, 2023." Sloppy work https://portal.311.nyc.gov/article/?kanumber=KA-03252 |
Honestly, explain to me how come no country ever sanctioned the U.S. when you bombed Serbia without NATO approval? Instead, Serbia was under sanctions? Or when the U.S. invaded Iraq? Or Afghanistan?
Bcs the U.S. holed the power in the world, politically, economically and militarily. But, when Russia does it, oh, no? They are bad! |
Russia is bad, they are murdering innocent children, you jerk. At least when the US bombed thise countries, it was in response to histile actions. Ukraine hadn't done anything except exist. And you think murdering children is ok. What a jerk you are. |
Russia is a shithole of a country and a bad actor on the global stage. It’s got a monstrous inferiority complex and always resorts to stirring up diplomatic BS just to attract attention and remind the world it exists. |
Ok, and the U.S. is a great nation with millions of people living in poverty and in tents? And the U.S. is not full of BS? |
I am not saying there isn't racism there, but Zelensky's point wasn't that he only cared about blonde haired blue eyed kids.
His point was that these children are Europeans, like, hey Europe, why not care a little bit when these kids are no different than yours. Ukraine is "otherized" in the EU and Zelensky is saying, badly, no, we are not "the other." |
