EVERY school has a solid set of students who do not post - and those kids will attend colleges from the full spectrum (Ivy to 100+ and in between). Thought - maybe they don't want DCUM talking about them? |

Tulane fills 90% of their class through ED. No senior at NCS applied early. Hard for school to admit students who didn't apply! |

STOP! Seriously, there is something wrong with you. You didn't review this child's application. You don't know what her transcript, grades or test scores were. Did you have access to her recommendations? NO! You just sit there and judge off of what little unsubstantiated information you have from gossip. |

No, STA tries very hard to keep its stats away from the public. No IG posts, and no data on each graduating class. It seems like they have something to hide. |

Congrats to all those kids But this is why the NCS parent boosters who denigrate GDS and say NCS is a "better" school than GDS get to me. Maybe the Cathedral schools are great, but not in terms of college acceptances 2024. I think the old guard of DC doesn't like that what they see as a "super-liberal" school is having this kind of success. In a class of 125 at GDS These are committed students (Just posted so far and more to come) 6 Harvard 3 Princeton 2 Dartmouth 2 cornell 1 U Penn 1 Brown 1 Yale (unposted to IG) 1 Columbia |

Um no. Results are great this year and it's a class with very few athletic recruits. |

For the love of everything holy, those kids are by-in-large hooked. I'm not at GDS but know two of the Ivies personally. They both have a freaking lineage of family members at their respective Ivies and came out of public school in 9th. Had they stayed in public, Jackson Reed and Bethesda Chevy Chase would have received those Ivy admits. Had they gone to STA and NCS, those schools would have received those Ivy admits. It's not the schools, it's the smarts and the hooks the kids have.
