Is that Cameron behind them? |
Yes, but that’s from the most recent episode when both couples went to the beach together. Daphne leaves shortly after to go get a massage. |
Hmmm. I don't think so, though. the YSL bag is Daphne's, right? That white bag with white straps and kind of a tan top -- I think that's a bag the hotel provides to everyone. Watch the opening scene of the season again -- multiple people have that same bag on their beach chairs, hanging from the back etc. One of the survivor contestants talking to Daphne has one, and you can see from the establishing shot of the beach at the beginning that the other survivor contestant has one hanging from the back of her chair, too. Daphne could have just brought this to the beach with her own bag. |
The comments aren’t about getting to know the locals, they are about traveling to a place like Sicily and eating all your meals at the hotel. It is even a subject of commentary on the show, with Cameron asking why they even bother with menus. Also, the conversation has been greatly prolonged by you complaining about it, so good job. |
Looking at the establishing shot again showing the whole beach before focusing in on Daphne, I spot 5 of these bags on different people's chairs (white handles, tan-ish top, tan sides, white middle and bottom) so it must be something the hotel leaves in people's rooms for use on the beach. |
This reminds me of when I was in Maui and all these ladies had the same beach bag like this and I asked the front desk about it since I thought I missed out on the freebie. Nope, all the women supposedly purchased it from the hotel boutique, I felt like such a poor for asking! And yes, I am one of those people that this trip was a splurge for me and I felt like I needed to maximize my time rather than just sitting at the pool, which don’t get me wrong was still glorious. |
I would normally joke about those women being basic for buying the same bag, except I too have found myself on a beach vacation but realized my beach bag is inadequate (like I’ll bring a tote that doesn’t stand up or that is too susceptible yo getting sand inside when you set it down) and had to buy from the hotel boutique. And of course it costs 4x what it should and isn’t your style but I don’t want to spend the week digging my floppy handles out of the sand or brushing sand off my book. |

Speaking of books on the beach, anyone think it was weird when Cameron said he had to go up to his room to get a book in the last episode? He doesn’t seem like a reader. And then the book he grabs looks like a novel with seems especially out of character.
I think it was a purposeful choice by the show to make it feel off, to justify Ethan’s suspicion. |
This makes sense to me. The old guy could be there to commit suicide. |
I would also enjoy it if Daphne killed Cameron or arranged for his death. Maybe she's tired of his cheating, or SHE is having an affair with Ethan and wants to switch over now that he's rich. Or she doesn't want to take the fall for whatever financial dealings he's involved in. He'd be the bull elephant separated from the herd and she'd go on with her little elephant kids. And she'd be following through on her threat to cut off his balls etc. if he cheated. |
| The death in S1 was a direct consequence of substance dependency relapse. It was foreshadowed by this point in the story. So my short list for deaths is Ethan and Lucia. Ethan is cracking up; Lucia is flirting with danger. |
I don’t see any chemistry between Ethan and Daphne. |

Here's the juice:
Portia does not die. Tanya does not die either. She is blackmailed, but does not die. Think a more unlikely victim (s) for the death, and a VERY surprising yet totally rational culprit. |

I honestly think Isabella is a decent contender. We know so much about her and there really isn’t much reason for that. The Valentina plot will be relevant in the end. |
