You'll be surprised, right location and turn key condition is a treasure even among starter homes. You first offer it to your wealthy clients who want investment properties or hip urban dwellings for their recent grads.

How about this converted storefront at 7th and F for $599k?

Obviously, this has a very limited pool of potential buyers, but if I were one of them, I'd rather have this than some overpriced condo with paper-thin walls, huge fees and AirBNBs on every floor.

Idk if i would buy it or not as i'm a big sucker for curb appeal so a part of a row home would probably appeal more to me but It's been done nicely and definitely a great value. I'm not familiar enough with that part of the neighborhood so can't comment on that aspect. This unit should work well for singles, couples or retirees.

Is this priced right? I love it but price is 3x my budget. One can wish for a season of miracles.

Super cute! But what a waste of space the half bath is, lol. Would much rather have that be extra storage.

I could totally retire there.

I find these one-story row houses totally charming. This is in my part of the neighborhood and I walk by this strip all the time. The only drawback is that it does feel more commercial than most blocks here. There are convenience stores on both corners of the block and F St is wider and less cozy than G or E anyway. But I’d happily live in this place if I were single.

I saw the other thread on this one. While the price is below recent market trends, and I can see it going over ask, I disagree it's a steal. Sub-800 sq ft is really really small, especially spread over two floors. You can upgrade all finishes but you're never getting more space out of that footprint -- the narrowness makes a popup nonsensical, and eating into the patio for space moving backwards is counterproductive, as the patio is probably one of the nicest spaces on the property.

I think these are a good investment but I couldn't live in one. Maybe to buy, fix up, and rent out, as an investment.

It went significantly over asking.

I can bet it would go above ask. I can absolutely see myself living there, less space but good saving compared to most row homes while living where i actually want to live.

Given that these condo alternatives were regularly going for $800k during the pandemic, yes, $595k is a comparative steal.

Sold price $668k
