If I invited someone over to my house and they brought a portrait of their smiling family and proceeded to hang it on my wall I would immediately rip it down and smash it over my knee.

I was at this game. The sign wasn’t just a small single “pvi sign” two PVI moms came 2 Hours before the game when no one was on the field , hung up banners on both sides of the fields seating bleacher, 3 more 10 by 10 feet banners on the gates surrounding the field to make it 8 Total. mind you this is DEMATHAS home field , anyone in there right mind doesn’t do this , PVI parents are to old to be pulling this crap. The whole altercation happened because after the win , dematah pulled the banner down and the PVI moms and dad were salty and decided to assault minors.

I have never heard of visiting teams hanging banners on home teams property. Is this common?

I don't think so. I think it is antagonistic and obnoxious.

the racist slurs were by the DeMatha baseball players against the one Black PVI player, calling him a token. This is the first anyone has said that the PVI players made racist slurs. Give some specifics or I call BS.

Would not be the first time. The players on the lacrosse team specifically the 26 class has used the n word towards players many time. This is not a surprise at all!

you have no specifics because nothing racial was said by PVI, only the DeMatha baseball players targeting the PVI Black player - right?

That is such a silly analogy that I can’t even tell which side you are on.

For the unfamiliar, the dematha field is shared with the community and it gives the visitor an impression of a regular recreational park. Most hs schools have their logo on the field. So apparently some thought it was a neutral site. Bringing signs would not be that unusual in this scenario.

Take it to Bravo, housewives. No one serious cares.

This would be a good point, if there wasn't a DeMatha symbol on the logo, and it clearly being DeMathas field

Never happened before. It’s disrespectful to home team. Everyone knows it is DeMatha’s field. Anyone with a clue knows that. Since there are no signs, maybe take that additional clue and inquire.

This has run its course- so can this board move on to more interesting topics.

Oh my this is bs. This has been demathas home field for 10 years. It’s obviously not a “Neutral site” the PVI parents just wanted to start an argument. The DM logo is right on the scoreboard and Mabye do some research before sneaking onto private property and hanging up banners.

Change of subject, is the STA goalie the best in the league/having the best season? Kid saved a ton against us and kept them in the game.

Dematha probably paid for the scoreboard but do they actually own the field? It’s designated as a community park operated by the county. Anyone can rent the field if they want.

It is co owned with Dematha high school and the county, sure it can be rented tho aswell. Did PVI rent the field ? No. So during the game time dematha had full ownership of the field.

It shouldn’t matter who pays for the field. It was a Dematha home game and PVI parents again showed they lack any class.
