Speaks over recruits; he can't coach. Zero culture on Military Road.

Ask their parents? They all seem very happy with the culture and Speaks. He runs a great program whether you want to admit it or not. Have they underperformed in some cases =100% yes, but it's not all about winning all the time, it's about development and brotherhood which I feel SJC does a great job at.

1. GP
2. SJC
3. Bullis
4. PVI
5. Landon
6. GC
7. GZ
8. STA

There is a big drop off after STA

If there's a big drop off from STA to GZ, what's the drop off from Calvert Hall to GP or Culver to GP? Serious question. Just seems like the top DMV programs aren't even in top 25 or even top 50 nationally now.

No drop but kinda looks like all the area traditional powers are down relative to the other national powerhouses

But to the IAC drop off using that EHS #133, and SSSSAS #322

Laxnumbers is great for seeing where kid’s committed and records but always crazy on rankings. Insidelacrosse is usually much better for rankings. It’s not all algorithms.

Going purely quantitative has definite flaws, around the inputs as much as the logic. And yet the other ranking sites with any credibility like USA lax or IL tend to have a lot of legacy bias, not all that different from ‘Bama showing up in the coaches polls as a preseason top 5. So agree to disagree and I’ll look to both.

When was the last time Landon was held to 2 goals? I assume the answer is never in 35+ years.

Then why ask the question
Anonymous
Because I don't know the answer.

St. John’s has no excuse to be bad at sports. The academic rigor is 0 and kids got all the time to train. It’s worse than most Fairfax public schools.

It's easy to +1 to culture if your kid is one of the few playing. Depth is not an advantage if it never sees the field. Committed kids not playing at SJC is nonsense.

You can see that across the board from the goal to attack, they gave better kids watching games than the ones playing games. He is afraid that if he lets a younger better player, then recruits will be leery of coming thee and then getting beaten out fir aying time. Big tasty and friends are gone. He needs to let some other players in the game.

Gonzaga was held to two in a playoff game a few years ago with multiple D1 players on offense.
