Actually, it is NOT in Gaithersburg. No Gaithersburg services for police, trash, recycling, etc because it is NOT in Gaithersburg.

It IS in North Potomac. North Potomac is a REAL unincorporated area within Montgomery County.

100% correct. Just because they share a zip code does not mean they are the same thing. Mt. Prospect residents (and all other N. Potomac residents) do not pay for City of Gaithersburg services as part of the property tax and therefore do not receive those services above.

I heard they are only giving 80k discounts that can be used for the options for those windmills lots. No other incentive. Lot premium 45-50k still applies

Why does this and North Bethesda make people so angry! It’s been North Potomac for almost 30 years now. Get over it. North Bethesda has only been a recent phenomenon. Get over it!

Simple, since you can’t afford it, you should skip Mt. Prospect and stick to searching in Darnestown.

School redistricting is going to happen in 2-3 years to relive crowding at the W schools. Mt Prospect is definitely much closer to QC high compared to Wootton. Would be interesting to see how this may affect value of these houses if they are no longer in wootoon district

here we go again.. the same spiel. Quince Orchard is already overcrowded. so, there is a big possibility that Crown will be the school. and there is nothing wrong with a new school!!

I say enjoy your houses.. the new school will have great demographics and will turn into a fine school!
