Political Discussion
I would imagine the shooter was going for the body, since it’s the biggest and most achievable target, but if they were going for the neck, they were targeting the carotid and not the jugular. The internal jugular veins are low pressure veins and they usually lie just overlapping the internal carotid by a bit. The internal carotids are a high pressure arteries that come right off the aorta and pumps blood up to the brain. The pressure difference is huge - think spraying across the room like in Monty python for the artery vs spilling out for the vein. When you see someone get their neck “slit” and a dark ribbon of blood oozes out, that’s venous blood. Arterial blood almost looks fake because it’s so red. When patients require a central intravenous line, the internal jugular is a common choice and it involves placing a catheter under ultrasound guidance so that you don’t accidentally get the artery. You can squish the floppy vein but not the muscular artery, which is the main way you can tell the difference. Your biggest fear is accidentally puncturing the artery, so usually you check, recheck, recheck, and recheck again, and do many different techniques to avoid going through the posterior wall of the vein, which is where the artery usually lies. Placing a needle and catheter in the jugular causes a bruise, but the pressure is low enough that not much blood seeps out. I once saw a fellow go through the posterior wall of the vein, puncturing the carotid. The puncture must have been less than the size of a pinprick, but almost immediately, a mass the size of a melon formed on the neck from the hematoma. Then all hell broke loose and a code was called. Someone who watched the video described it to me and it definitely sounded as if the bullet ruptured the carotid. |
Just like Karoline Leavitt says everyday. |
| FBI is retracting the transgender and antifa bullet fragment leak. |

A professional would not have done this from a position where there are any cameras in the area.
Also more than likely had a 50 yard zero on that rifle and was aiming center mass. This would explain the point of impact in the neck area. |
Except the damage is done. Patel needs to be fired. Today. |

Does the phone still ping if it is turned off?
The guy's face looks strange like he was wearing a mask. |
Yes. The imei can still be tracked. |
| Has there been a press conference with the treating doctor or medical examiner? Or is this going to be another Butler? |
I think it's just a bad image. It's good enough that I think the person of interest will be caught. Let's keep in mind, though, that the two other people of interest were not the shooter, so this guy may also not be. |
No. This is completely wrong. A tower dump cannot show the presence of phones that are turned off. Please stop spreading misinformation. |
Even Inspector Clouseau would be more competent. |
Exactly. No professional would intentionally make a neck-shot. Plus, police are reporting to the WSJ, BBC, etc, the assassin used “an older, .30 calibre rifle.” This was not some dark-ops highly-trained assassin. This assassination was committed by a homicidal amateur with a political grudge. |
| Feds, have you gotten an email from the head of your agency both commemorating 9/11 and expressing horror about Kirk? (And ignoring the Denver school shooting that happened the same day) Just wondering if a directive came down from the White House or if my agency head is just crazy. |
I’m shocked! Actually, I am shocked that they would admit it. |
