What the hell? What if the virtual family answers no to those questions? What would the penalty be? Detention?!

This is truly insane stuff. No legitimate basis to suddenly start requiring health certifications from students staying home.

I think it’s poorly worded:

As a member of the Arlington Public Schools community, I agree that my student and I will;

1. Immediately notify Arlington Public Schools if my student develops symptoms of COVID-19.
2. Encourage proper hand hygiene.
3. Maintain appropriate physical distance between myself and others, as much possible (at least 10 feet with physical activity and 6 feet for all other cases).
4. Limit physical contact between myself and others, as much as possible.
5. Wear a face covering consistent with Arlington Public Schools policy unless exempt.
6. Limit touching of surfaces to only when is necessary.

I think that 1 and 2 apply to the parent, 3-6 apply to the kid at school, and none apply to virtual students/families (with possible exception of #1- notifying APS of covid cases for tracking purposes).
