+1 Britney is nothing but a cash cow for her family. If you have ever seen how greedy offspring act around older relatives - signing everything over to themselves, it is heartbreaking. Abuse often plays a role, also. It's like the aging parent/MIL whatever can't die fast enough. |
When she’s properly medicated, she functions perfectly. When she’s off her meds she makes poor choices. You can easily tell which phase she is in, or I can due to dealing with ill family members. |
His statement was fine. He said he stays out of the conservatorship and that the boys are doing well. A very bland PR statement. |
What made you say that about a successful artist? You think it is all just being a airhead to be successful in a cut throat business? You must have low IQ. |
He has to report to the court every year on every $. If you are wondering how careful the court reviews the documents, I am sure you can find out the process. |
This isn't quite the "smoking gun" you think it is. Mom may not have been mentioned in this show but she's around and also trying to get a piece of the pie. Is there anyone in this woman's life who doesn't have their hand out?! https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/britney-spears-parents-why-isnt-her-mom-part-of-the-conservatorship.html/ https://www.marieclaire.com/celebrity/a35482158/who-is-britney-spears-mom-lynne/

The IQ claim is just misogyny. Nobody is accusing Justin Timberlake or Bieber of low IQ, but they do exactly what Britney does for a living and have never said anything remotely profound either. |
I was thinking about this as well, how much of this whole thing is rooted in misogyny? Bieber is a great example, (and I'm a fan..flame away, don't care), but he's had his share of public crazy. Not female enough to ever have someone try to take control of his life and finances though? |
I think this is important. How much of her illness was caused or exacerbated by her father (upbringing), who now benefits. I can’t speak to her illness but having a neutral third party as conservator seems like a no-brainer. |
Unless she has PTSD misdiagnosed as bi polar or schizophrenia, her upbringing didn't cause her illness. Her younger sister is fine. I think her well being today certainly is impacted by having no say or control in her life. |
Agree. SO many highly successful recording artists have bipolar... It's much more prevalent there than in the general population. I'd add Mariah Carey, Bebe Rexha, Halsey, Kanye, many more. I am an everyday DC area successful professional with bipolar, and have friends with it too. I am mystified as to the reason for the 13 year conservatorship. |
I am the PP with bipolar. It's complex and can be caused by many factors. Anyone can develop it potentially. I had no family history same like many. There are also people with well managed schizophrenia. Being diagnosed with one of these conditions, by itself, would not justify this conservatorship. |

I watched the documentary last night and learned nothing new. We will never truly know what the extent of Britney’s mental illness is or what she really thinks because none of us know her personally including the people that want to “free her.” People think they know celebrities but they really don’t.
The people around her will of course want to “protect her brand.” I think her strange Instagram speaks for itself. |
Can someone help me, is it only available in certain areas? I cannot find it on Netflix or prime? |
