| The documentary made me feel so sorry for her and what she had to go through. I remember it while it was happening but it’s weird to look back and realize how judgmental everyone was without knowing the full picture. She is so sweet and smart in those early interviews. So heartbreaking. |
| Preceding her conservatorship, she had a well-publicized “mental breakdown” that included shaving her head and attacking a paparazzo’s car with an umbrella. These actions don’t seem like they should warrant a 13 year conservatorship. There must be something else. Is she schizophrenic or does she have severe bipolar disorder? I think there was something like a stand-off that happened with her kids? There’s really so much that hasn’t been explained. I understand Britney no longer wants everything to be kept secret, although Jaime has fought to do so. |
| What conditions require someone to be under a conservatorship? I don’t understand the legality of this much. If she is coherent enough to perform and sing and dance and be a judge on a live singing competition.... why isn’t she well enough to buy herself starbucks? |
| I think the biggest problem is that her father is making money from her conservatorship. This is why she said no more work until her father is released. |
It could be that she has 2 mental health issues, with one of them being the inability to grasp that she is actually sick. There is a name for it...an...something. |
| *anosognosia |
A sick person who is making tens of millions of dollars for other people should be able to choose to buy a cup of coffee or have an allowance for of some sort. There was a story that circulated several years ago where Britney tried to get some flowers sent to her hotel room so she could enjoy them, and wanted them to be billed to her room. They told her no and she went down to the front desk and said something like, I work so hard and all I want is some flowers to make me happy. I mean, how can people just laugh that off? She's sick, but she's still a person. |

But I don’t understand how someone can be so mentally ill that it is legally required that she needs a conservator to handle her finances and manage her every move and yet that person can also record multiple albums, put on expensive world tours where she can sing and perform complex dance moves night after night. She can go on a show and act and serve as a judge for a singing contest.
It makes no sense at all. |
Anosognosia and schizophrenia or bi polar disorder may explain why a conservatorship was needed. I read a twitter thread which had documents filed by Jamie Spears and it referred to a "dementia like mental illness". He was arguing to get the conservatorship without her consent or knowledge. I agree with people who question how she can perform and earn big $$$, but cannot drive or marry without permission. She is definitely being taken advantage of, but she also definitely has a severe mental illness. |
| Probably caused by all the things she went through in her teens and 20s |
| Kevin Federline released a statement. Wish he would stay out of it. |
| I agree — I don’t understand what she has done that warrants a conservatorship? Rich & famous people have breakdowns and do far worse stuff than what she’s reportedly done. Many other stars — Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez etc— have bipolar. No one’s treating them this way....as if they are incapacitated. Now maybe her case is much worse. I just can’t find any information. This just doesn’t make sense to me. |
JC Chavez from N Sync. As you can see from the thread his fans love trashing Justin and believe he should have been the more successful one, lol |

While I’m sure there was some truth in it, the documentary was horribly one-sided and I believe secretly produced by her legal team in anticipation of the February court case. It reminded me of when Princess Diana was secretly working with Andrew Morton.
I can’t believe I’ve reached 12 pages and no one has brought up her mother. Why isn’t her mother fighting for her freedom either in court or the press? A mother who is divorced from her father and not afraid of publicity. To me, that is the smoking gun that Britney is severely mentally ill and needs a guardianship. Regarding IG: Whether she intentionally publishes the videos or not, she definitely records them and she seems to be a mess. |
I wonder if Britney's lawyer can demand that her dad be audited, to bring to light whether he's taking more money from her than he should, or squandering her money. |
