Do you pay any attention to politics or do you just follow a bunch of blue-check liberals on twitter? First, Cedric Richmond should not be Chief of Staff. He is looking to be in house leadership. Giving him CoS would not be beneficial to Clyburn in anyway. It is going to be someone who has worked for/with Biden for years, likely Ron Klain.

President Obama and Michelle Obama are great figures, with relationships along the globe. But they are retired, there is no way either would be Secretary of State. It will likely be Chris Coons or Tony Blinken. I prefer Chris Murphy though (for his views on Yemen).

Michele Flournoy is likely the pick for defense. Susan Rice is hated by the right and would not get confirmed by a republican senate

A DONOR SHOULD NOT GET TREASURY. We need someone with experience as economist and who will look out for the everyday Americans when rebuilding our broken economy.

AG will probably be Doug Jones, but Preet is a good call.

Buttigieg will be UN Ambassador or USTR. He is a rising star, giving him a "boring" position will stymie him. (Look at Julian Castro)

Richmond is absolutely in the running for Chief of Staff. There will plenty of other staff positions for Klain, starting with being the COVID czar.

Biden should not be afraid to think big with Secretary of State. He is going to be 78 and needs to have experienced people around him. There is no one better than an Obama to help rebuild global relationships. Both are still relatively young and not retired at all. Coons is still needed as a Biden ally in the Senate and Murphy can wait.

Mayor Pete has a brilliant mind. He will not be bored with any cabinet position, and he needs experience. He should have at least two cabinet roles in the first term.

What has Doug Jones done to deserve a cabinet spot? Do we really need another former senator from Alabama in that role?

You are telling me that all the reporting on Ron Klain as Chief of Staff is wrong and that a congressman with hopes of house leadership is going to drop that for White House Chief of Staff?
Mayor Pete is brilliant, which is why he shouldn’t be Veterans Affairs. UN Ambassador is a perfect role for him.
Doug Jones has DOJ experience and fought relentlessly for the people of Alabama in an incredibly uphill battle. He is the opposite of a Jeff Sessions and the fact that you are comparing them shows that you know very little about politics. Go back to twitter.

No, I am not telling you the speculative reporting is wrong, but Richmond is also in the mix and would be a better pick. Chief of Staff is a much more important role than being fourth or fifth in the House leadership. Biden lost a lot of ground to Trump with African American men and needs to shore up the base. If it were not for the massive turnout, Biden would have lost.

Mayor Pete has management consulting experience and is a veteran of war. He is a defensible pick as VA Secretary. He has zero foreign policy expertise as mayor of South Bend. That matters. As Mayor Pete develops more experience, he will have more opportunities in a Biden-Harris cabinet.

Lots of people have DoJ experience. Bharara has it at a much higher level and also will be in tune with the efforts of the SDNY and possible prosecution of former President Trump. A politician should not be put in the position of Attorney General.
