It's too much on top of FL responsibilities. Not at all the same thing as teaching one adjunct college course. But she'll have a say in the pick for sure. |
Wouldn't Dept of LAbor be fit for him? |
Andrew Yang for the labor secretary. |
Yang2024 |
Possibly. I didnt know if that where those items fall but sure! If he could get these enclaves of oil/coal areas to bring in other jobs, work with Dept of Ag for better farming practices and disruption of Ag conglomerates, and then rural areas to get better Internet access to bring in telework jobs- it could swing some voters to Democrats. |
He does not have the personality. |
What about Bob Gates for Secretary of State? |
Bob Gates is a no, he can’t help but bash Obama everytime they put a mic in front of him. |
And he’s OLD. Secretary of State takes almost as much or more work and travel than the presidency. |
Definitely a good call. And Kendra Horn can be the US Attorney for Oklahoma. |
You are telling me that all the reporting on Ron Klain as Chief of Staff is wrong and that a congressman with hopes of house leadership is going to drop that for White House Chief of Staff? Mayor Pete is brilliant, which is why he shouldn’t be Veterans Affairs. UN Ambassador is a perfect role for him. Doug Jones has DOJ experience and fought relentlessly for the people of Alabama in an incredibly uphill battle. He is the opposite of a Jeff Sessions and the fact that you are comparing them shows that you know very little about politics. Go back to twitter. |
Yes, Ron Klain is probably the #1 choice for CoS. He was CoS to both Gore and Biden when they were VPOTUS and he was a senior advisor on the Biden presidential campaign. He has been with Biden forever and is whip-smart when it comes to the politics. Basically, if he wants the CoS staff position (and why wouldn't he?), it's his. Actually, I think an amazingly brilliant idea is that Biden should find a cabinet position for Senator Kennedy from LA. Kennedy is a moderate Republican. Until 2007, he was a Democrat and then flipped. He has no love lost for Donald Trump and has periodically strayed across the aisle to join the Democrats including helping to block three of Trump's judicial nominees. He's a very astute and well educated lawyer, so maybe AG? Louisiana has a Democratic governor, so offering a cabinet position to Kennedy allows Biden to come off as reaching across the aisle, plus with a Democratic governor, the replacement Senator would likely be a Democrat. Additionally, Kennedy is up for reelection in 2022 and is likely to face a hard reelection campaign. He's only moderately popular in Louisiana (46% approval rating). He might be happy to have a resting place for four years instead of looking at a hard reelection in 2 years. Could be a valuable win-win for Kennedy. |
Pete Buttigieg for comms or UN ambassador. He’s excel in either
Warren in Budget or Treasury As a teacher I am most interested in sec of education. Anyone will be an improvement over Devos of course but I’ve seen Lily Garcia and Randi Weingarten floated and I’m not thrilled about either Have seen Doug Jones flagged for AG and I think that would be a good choice |
I think she’s a great choice but if Mitch has the senate after the January runoff in Georgia no way is Yates getting confirmed. I’ve seen Susan rice floated as state and same thing- Benghazi toxicity makes her a no go in a Republican held senate. |
No one relayed to Benghazi or the past- no to Hilary Clinton no to Susan Rice!!!!
Sally states would be awesome as AG but I doubt she would make it past the Senate. Prefer Bahara is a good choice. Leave Director Wray— it’s supposed to be a bipartisan role, What about Flake? Mayor Pete is awesome but he needs to build his resume to be competitive in the future. |
