Crash Landing - Netflix Korean subtitles

PP: Even with the ridiculous hairstyle in Itaewon Class and a completely different role he was awesome.

By the way, I really did not like the ending in Itaewon Class.

No spoilers, please! It's on my watchlist.

FYI, there are good discussions on reddit the almost every show, and the popular shows have threads about every episode, including endings. Check it out.

NP and it’s not a spoiler, I agree the last episode sucked.

After seeing it recommended here, I started and forced myself to finish Whats wrong with secretary Kim. I found it just too shallow and formulaic and simple (similar to most of the kdramas Netflix recommends for me). I'm one who loved loved loved Crash Landing and found Itewon Class watchable, mildly interesting. But Secr'y Kim falls into the category of too silly, too young, too mean/rich boss (and typically a dopey/poor girl) and really not much of a plot. I think CLOY spoiled kdramas for me.

I have a friend that has watched many K-dramas and written articles about them as well and agrees with your assessment. CLOY is clearly a cut above. I know "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" is formulaic but Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young are so gorgeous together and good actors so it's a lot of fun to watch.

I'm embarrassed to say that I had no interest in Asian shows prior to Covid so for me this whole new world of K-dramas is eye-opening. I'm picking up a lot about Korean culture and it's fun to "escape" DC for even just a little bit.

This is only meant for this poster since this link could have spoilers for those planning on watching "What's wrong with secretary Kim." I think the leads felt the same way at some point as you:

Anybody new to this thread and reading the last post should just watch "Crash Landing on You." I feel bad for creating confusion.

Just started Vincenzo-Netflix’s new series with Song Joong-ki. I’m two episodes in and already hooked. It’s visually exciting and the plot is interesting as well. Plus I’m a new Song Joong-ki fan since finishing Descendants of the Sun. He’s not as brawny as Hyun Bin, but he’s definitely a dish.

Oops. I see it was right there in your post. In your opinion is Descendants of the Sun second best after Crash Landing?

DP. It's different. It doesn't have the emotional weight of CLOY, but it is blast! Great humor and really fun. It's not really fair to compare them.

+1

I’m the PP who mentioned Vincenzo-I agree with this assessment.
