Anyone know the score of the Sidwell Flint Hill game?

No. It happened at the very end of the tour. Max 30-35 minutes - not enough for an eval.

Someone else had a different concocted excuse, but I forgot what it was. Sidwell parents have told me it is an embarrassing practice. Hopefully it's removed eventually.

Well that douche admin director is long gone. Hasn't happened for a long time and we've been there for 9 yrs. Move on .

They read the rejected families’ essays at the first back to school night. It’s hilarious.

Didn’t happen for us when applying three years ago, but I would have welcomed writing in support of my child. Seriously, what’s the uproar? Why would anyone be put off by being asked to write an on demand persuasive piece on the attributes of their child? Seems it would be an accurate reflection of the nature of the school and the type of families we look to attract.

Completely false. I have toured and was never asked to write anything pertaining to my child. Maybe this was the case 5 years ago but, not the case now.

More like 12 years ago. Someone is really grinding a long axe.

Putting it in the application process? Weird, but fine if you do it upfront. Springing it on unsuspecting parents during an innocuous tour? Classless.

Nice try honey. Nothing to see here.

Nice to see Sidwell parents are just like Landon parents. At least Landon succeeds at sports.

Why? Just trying to understand. On the one hand, if you are touring a school, you probably have some sense of why that school is of interest to your child and the personality type of your child and how it fits the school. To me, it would be much better to write something spontaneously than to have the pressure of spending week fretting over it before submitting it.

Who won? And did they play Maret?

Sidwell lost by 2 touchdowns at home to Green Street Academy. A school that started it's football program in 2017. They are the 10,493rd highest ranked team in the country. Higher than Sidwell at 11,066.

Sidwell is not good at football and certain people here seem to really get a sense of satisfaction by driving that point over and over again.

One sport isn’t indicative of the athletic program overall.

They are terrible all across the board. Occasional success in the sports nobody cares about.

Basketball? Soccer? I get it, Sidwell is not a great football school, but why come on to a message board and disparage a bunch of kids? Maybe take a look in the mirror.
