What are you talking about. I'm from Howard County, the richest county in MD. I don't want to live there either. Good people live there, my mom lives there. I just have no interest. Different strokes for different folks. |
isn't pike and rose in rockville why does everyone who lives in gaithersburg hate bethesda whose crown is it can my kid still be a dumbass if he goes to a 9/9/8 school or is he guaranteed to be smart is it possible he would look smarter in like a 7 school can you specify a 7 school with a good art program because he loves to draw what if I want my kid to play but only in strip malls but I also want a short commute but I don't have any of the suburbs jobs from the other post because my job is downtown greeter so it has to be downtown can i still live at crown if i only have time for pond walks on weekends |

can it be called Richard Wontgomery because I understand that W schools are better except or including Wilson I can't tell which it's an angry king |
There's a difference between do not commute and do not commute to DC. I've provided plenty of links and evidence that shows that most people do not commute into DC. |
| Bumping this thread. I have been curious how these will sell. Still quite a bit of inventory and prices holding steady. Are these things selling at all? Are they offering any incentives? |

I live in Gaithersburg (Kentlands). I would never live in Bethesda and no, it’s not jealousy. The downtown area is a glorified mall — not worth the price.
I do love the hatred my city gets. Pretty hilarious. You all think about us a lot more than we think about you. |
I feel that way about Kentlands, actually. (No, I don't live in Bethesda.) |
| It's Gaithersburg, not NYC, SF, or even Boston. For $1.5 mill I better be getting a sfh with a yard if I'm not living downtown. People generally don't like townhomes. |
True and they will both supplement and harry the schools into improving. College Gardens comes to mind. |
They have both. They have one set of floor plans that's the traditional SFH - yard, basement, etc. They offer another set of floorplans that's more TH style that does not have a basement, but instead, has a rooftop terrace. |
You are like the people who pretend not to notice a difference between a Mercedes and a Chevy. Drive your Chevy all you want but it isn’t just as good. You just can’t afford the other. It is worth it if money means a little less to you. |
This is so ironic because we actually drive Mercedes cars. You are so ignorant. We chose Kentlands because we wanted a walkable neighborhood in a down to earth area. Not everything is a financial decision. We make $400K/year; we could've afforded Bethesda. We didn't want to live there for reasons that have nothing to do with affordability. I grew up Chappaqua and hated the arrogance of the people there. Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Potomac felt very much like Chappaqua to me. I wanted to raise my family somewhere different. Comments like yours just reinforce to me that we made the right decision. |
Have you been to Kentlands lately? And I don't mean the side with the Giant; I mean main street and market square. |
