Sounds like the Republican philosophy of health care reform. Death is cheap.

Hysterical above. I just don't get why people keep writing if they are not interested.

Hysterical mom simply wants to play GOD.

Who do you think I am? Nobody told me that somebody else has a monopoly on the word "snarky", so I guess we'd all better stop using it, except for "her", the one with the monopoly. Beyond silly.

Yes, Die Thread, Die!

Yes, the word snarky is indeed overused on the DCUM board...just like Big 3. I suspect you are a Big 3?

Yes, we know who you are ... Ms Big 3. Don't worry like taxes, death will surely come. Don't dispair.

I don't feel like reading through the first 12 pages of this thread. Can anyone give me the crib notes?

Weird people.

Someone started a more recent post on Ivy League aspirations acting as though it's bad to want an Ivy for your kid -- to each his/her own.

I would be willing to bet DC has a very high number of parents who would like an Ivy for their children

You can be recruited to row at college even if you have no prior rowing experience. It helps if you are a talented athlete, preferably tall with long levers. You can definitely be recruited if you are a good athlete, tall, and have a good erg score - say, 7:20 or better for 2,000 meters. You do not need to be on a team to develop a good erg score - you just need access to an erg and a good training program.

For more information about being recruited to row in college you could check out http://athletesbooks.com/rowing/row-in-college/
