I knew one of the victims of this murder, it just came up in the news again 14 years later.

Why do people keep saying this? It’s obvious that the janitor killed her.

Because they never found her body.

This is the one I want to know about. I lived in Charlotte at the time and was also connected to Kyle through a friend group. It was definitely one of those things where it could have easily happened to anyone. From what we could tell, he acted like a completely normal 20 something going out in downtown Charlotte at the time.

Yeah this one really chills me. I wonder if we know each other?

And because of that people like me fear that she was sold off to some pervert and either was tortured until she died or she is currently still alive and has been working in the sex trade for all these years. I want to know the truth because I believe her mother should be prosecuted for negligence if not for possibly selling her daughter to the janitor.

+1 and the other “route 29 stalker” deaths. I was at UVa then and these murders were the reason for my first cell phone, for when I went home or back to school.

All of this.

Anyone native Washingtonians remember the Kathy Beatty case from 1975? She was 15, and found murdered behind the Kmart in Aspen Hill. I think this was just a few months after (or before) the Lyon sisters.

I was a teen back then, living with my parents a few miles away.

Was her mother held responsible to any extent?

Not a cold case, but I'd love to know how Susie Newsom Lynch in Greensboro, NC evolved to be the person she became. I've read Bitter Blood and still have so many questions.

This is what I was going to post.

+1 Robert Wone

+2 I'm surprised this case didn't get more national press.

Seriously? You're surprised? Three gay men rape and kill a guy and you wonder why the press covered it (with a pillow)?

New poster. I'm surprised. Please explain why it was hushed up.
