Then, my guess is, he is not medically sedated. They could be backing off the sedation to see what his response is, but this doesn't sound like that's what's going on. If they are doing EEK, they want him to be as non-sedated as possible to get an accurate measure of his brain activity. His situation does not sound good.

There are too many conflicting reports here. One can not be "brain dead" and simultaneously opening their eyes, giving the thumbs up and saying "Good morning".

Obviously it would be a miracle if this guy is able to come out of this not only alive but able to communicate.

If he is brain dead and his heart is "getting stronger" I don't know that that is a good thing for him or his family.

Let's hope for a good outcome for him.

I just feel so sorry for this guy. The pull of addiction must have been so strong to give up everything he had worked so hard for in his career, his marriage, his children--- potentially his own life. I hope for the best outcome for him.

Damn, didn't think that was going to happen for him. Must be lots of folks out there praying for him.

I want to believe he did wake up. Reports are so conflicting. According to NBC and ESPN he's breathing on his own and woke up and spoke to Khloe. I hope he can pull through and use this to really get his life back on track.

What the hell? He wanted to spend the weekend partying with whores. What does that have to do with the "pull of addiction"? I like to get drunk now and then, but I'm by no means an alcoholic. If I ended up dying of alcohol poisoning it would be from stupid decision making not from some sort of addiction.

He is an addict. It's a longstanding, well known problem. What happened to him was not a random stupid decision.

We don't know if the guy planned this getaway or if it was a spur of the moment drunken/high decision. I believe I read that a ranch employee picked him up at his house and drove him to that brothel where he proceeded to spend 70K or so on hookers and herbal viagra. A guy willing to unload that amount of money in just a few days probably doesn't need to RSVP.

I am one of them. He has been through enough pain already, deserves a happy life.
