I never understand the but people think I weigh less comments. As if people aren't obviously guessing a lower number not to offend. |
Who cares what the tag says? It's almost meaningless anymore. I can wear anywhere from a size 4 to a size 10, and a small to a large, depending on the brand. |
I came here to see if it was average size... Apparently not, it's as I expected... Fat |
When I meet women and they say, well right now I'm a 12,but usually...blah blah blah... You're fat, stop making excuses, put down the donut and run |
I'm a size 12 (and fairly short), and run several miles every other day. I haven't eaten a donut in maybe... 2 years or so? So sensei, what do you suggest? |
When I was a 12, I thought I was a little fat but that I looked ok. Now I am a 4-6 and I see that I was incorrect. Ouch! I mean, face / hair / skin was nice but yeah I was fat. I am 5'4.5", for frame of reference. |
The only woman I've ever known who wore a size 10 or above who didn't need to lose weight was a 6' model.
In general, a size 12 needs to lose weight and is most likely "fat". |
I agree, if you are a size 12 and dont look overweight than you are about 6 ft or taller. Or all your clothes are from the 1960s and are marked 12's but really are like 8's. |
Some ppl with a broader frame are a perfectly trim size 12 - others are indeed overweight. Clothes size is often irrelevant to a healthy weight |
over 6 feet, no.
under 5'6" yes. |
I'm 5'7 size 4 and curvy. So yeah, size 12 is definitely fat. |
Do I think they are fat?
No. I know they are fat. |
If you're under 6' tall, it's fat. |
I am 5'8", 157, and wear a size 12. While I am trying to lose weight (I've always been below 145 until a year ago), 168 is the top weight for my height on the bmi charts. I have really wide hips even when I am skinny. When I am 125 (which is three pounds underweight according to bmi) I still can't go below an 8 and sometimes still wear a ten. Pants are tough for me to wear when I'm skinny because I need them to be wide for my hips and then they are baggy in the butt.
So, no, while I'd rather be skinnier, I do no think I am fat. |
5'7", 142 lbs, 47 years old, 3 kids.
I wear a size 4, 6, or 8 in pants and skirts depending on the designer, and a small or medium for most shirts. But... if the shirt buttons, I need a 12, since I have shoulders like a linebacker. |
