What Schools are Considered 2T?

How is it not at the same level? Exmissions this year?

poly has always had more of a drug culture than the other Brooklyn privates.

A blackface and jock culture. I think the biggest issue with drugs have been faced by Tech, and in terms of privates, by Saint A’s

If my only goal was to join the Casino, would Poly do the trick?

A lot of reputation and cache starts as unfounded folklore on social media and website like this and just kind of catches on because people “read about it”. So a lot of hidden gems get missed and conversely other schools have overinflated and hyped up expectations

Sorry to hurt your feelings. I live close to the lower school and know the private scene quite well. If you have a slightly stupid jock or a self-serious future Broadway stah who won’t get to higher level math or an unweighted A in humanities courses, I’m sure its great.

Sorry but I really wasn’t thinking about you and I wasn’t even referring to any specific school, not even Packer which I can infer you are referring to but it doesn’t matter anyway. So don’t worry about my feelings, just your own lol. Anywho my comment applies to a general swathe of schools. And no two people will have the same impressions of a school. But my point is when someone labels or brands a school a certain way on places like this, that is the only thing the clueless and uninformed can hang their hat on

I think at this point TT is like the Ivy League. It is long established. MIT and Stanford are arguably better schools than Cornell, but Cornell remains in the Ivy League.

Some people thinK TT should be based on college admissions. That fluctuates, and maybe TT should, too. Others think that TT is based on difficulty of admission. Chapin is very, very hard to get into at all of the entry points.

It was clearly about poly. It adds value to park slope, idk why that neighbor would attack it. Many high income people would never live there or south Brooklyn without such an esteemed educational option.

I’m confused. How come everybody on this forum has a set TT list but me?

Are the established TTs: Spence, Collegiate, Trinity, Dalton, Chapin, Brearley, and Horace Mann?

Why are you so against it? Most youth would be well served going there. What comparable options are there in the area? It puts that area on the map

Your tone is childish and not OK. It is not appropriate for any school. Please stop.

I think one of the trolls from the old UB/YBM/WBM boards found DCUM recently.

I don't know why people get like this, I assume either a) their kid was rejected by the school they're hating on, b) their kid had a bad experience at the school they're hating on, or c) their kid goes to a different school which they feel insecure about and they lash out by dumping on other schools.

(and honestly as a member of group 'b' myself I work out my feelings by writing long thoughtful posts encouraging people not to send their kid to that school and explaining why, potshots accomplish nothing)
