What accountability is Iran offering up for the murder of tens of thousands of its own people? They just appointed a senior leadership figure to the group that did all that killing to be their Supreme Leader. And here you are, completely whitewashing what happened, refusing to acknowledge it and are only demanding accountability from the US. It's dishonest of you and you know it. If the US needs to take accountability (and I'd be more than happy to see Hegseth impeached and removed) then so too does the Supreme Leader on down. Can you say the same about Mojtaba Khameini and the IRGC and Basij leadership? And can you not deflect with dishonest BS about "that's what they want you to believe?" |
We’re able to ask for accountability from our elected leaders, who have been behaving like the bad guys for the last year. |
Of course it was. This is beyond obvious, but of course the nut jobs would have us believe we were actually targeting a school rather than the naval base right next to it. |
+1 Can’t believe this has to be explained at all. |
Are you all insane? Trump left the Iranian protestors high and dry, after he urged them on and said "help is on the way," and got more of them killed. They feel betrayed by him. https://time.com/7347090/iran-protesters-trump-help/ |
What is it we’re to do with this info? |
Someone should have taped Trump's lips together before he said such a stupid thing. Whether he thought we should get involved or not, we couldn't "help" on any timeframe that could ever have affected the result. All he could ever have managed to do by shooting his mouth off was to get a bunch of Iranians killed. "help" would have taken assets of the right kind in the region that the US can use offensively by ourselves or with local permission. The UAE/Saudis/... weren't going to give us permission to stage any attack from bases in their countries. There were no boots on the ground within a month of Iran, and it'd have taken a couple months to put together anything significant. To the extent there's is normally any independent US offensive capability nearby, for decades we've had a carrier group near the Gulf most of the time. But in January, Hesgeth had moved the Ford group from the ME to the Caribbean to dick around with drug runners in the Caribbean, result being we didn't even have one carrier group's offensive capability within 10 days of the Middle East. |
What a bullshit deflection. I'm the PP talking about accountability for all and I'm absolutely not a Zionist; I'm an atheist who thinks religion is an opiate for mentally ill masses, whether Christian nutjobs like Hegseth, or Jewish nutjobs like Netanyahu, or Islamic nutjobs like Khameini. I think Netanyahu, Trump, AND the Islamic Republic are evil. You on the other hand can't bring yourself to condemn the brutal and oppressive Iranian regime and only want to condemn the US and Israel. Thus it's easy to see you have a dishonest agenda here. You're using accusations of "zionism" as a shield and a deflection, and you've FAILED, miserably. Stop with your dishonesty and own up to the Islamic Regime's evil - I can do that for my side, but until you do that you are just here posing and lying and peddling dishonest narratives. |

So we’re spending $3.6 million per Tomahawk to kill people like the Minab schoolgirls, after killing Iran’s ancient leader, so that his far younger and as or more radical son could take his place.
How does this make Americans safer? How does pushing Iran to for sure go the Pakistan, North Korea route and for sure getting nuclear weapons make us safer? How does creating the circs to close Hormuz make us wealthier? What am I missing? |
You are vastly off the mark. I unequivocally condemn the Islamist regimes (including Hamas and the Iranian regime), along with anyone who unconditionally supports them. I also condemn the Israeli regime, along with anyone who unconditionally supports them; and sadly, I also condemn my own government, and anyone who unconditionally supports it. The bottom line is that my stance is beyond your criticism entirely - but it doesn’t even matter. I don’t have to restate every position I’ve taken, every grievance I have, to validate THIS one position. But it’s curious - do you know the ONLY group who demands that of others? Zionists. Whatsboutusm is a Western construct, a diseased strategy to evade actual accountability. And, look, as someone with no personal skin in the game, it’s painfully obvious who the “bad guys” are in this conflict, but also who the “really bad guys” are. There’s no getting around that. |
This didn't start in March 2026. Iran's regime has been calling America "Satan" in unhinged rants, and its leadership has been talking endlessly about destroying America every day since 1979. They have launched countless attacks via proxies, attempted to assassinate Americans, and so on. America hasn't been safe from them since 1979. I don't think they have a path to getting functional nuclear weapons any time soon. I also don't think Hormuz will stay closed long. It's not hurting us anywhere near as badly as it's hurting China and India and other countries. |
Again, I don't give a crap about zionists or your constant returning to the zionism argument - you're wasting your time and are wildly missing the mark with it, as I already explained to you. And only now do you give a token condemnation of Islamic regimes, despite having had numerous opportunities to do so previously, only to go right back to your deflections and whataboutisms. Also, whataboutism isn't a "western" construct, that's only the western term for it - it's a Russian construct, "а что насчёт…?" going back to Soviet-era deflection tactics. You keep revealing more about yourself than getting closer to any truths here. |
The people in Iran were protesting against the regime. Now murdering hundreds of kids? Exacerbating the water crisis? The US just radicalized a whole bunch of people and entrenched the hard line government. |
