Let me guess - the part the Iranian media isn't talking about was probably either a.) the strike hit an IRGC or Basij target nearby (because Iran embeds those in civilian areas) and the school was hit by debris, and wasn't the main target, or b.) IRGC shot down an incoming missile and it crashed on a school, or c.) they hit an IRGC or Basij base and are falsely claiming it was a school full of children. I'd but 75% odds on it being one of the above.

Of course. These are the obvious answers. The naval base was the target, everything around it was collateral damage. They were going by old maps which didn't show the girls school. But according to this thread, with zero credible sources, the US actually targeted a girls school. Anyone believing Iranian media is a complete fool. No one's even asking: Why did the Iranians have a school full of girls right next to a major target in the first place?

The US is responsible the deadly school strike. The Israelis were bombing Tehran during that time, and the US were bombing the rest. The school was near a naval base. It makes sense that while not intended for the school, the bomb was off by several feet and took it out. It was a mistake, but a terrible one, and if the US had decent leadership, it would acknowledge the mistake and apologize, saying it never intended to target children.

My elementary school growing up in New York was very near a major defense contractor's compound. If someone had dropped a bomb on our elementary school and killed a 150 kids, I doubt they would have excused the bomber for killing us all because our school was near a defense plant.

I am outraged by that, but I am not Russian. I am American and I am sick that my country appears to have killed more than a hundred little girls in a war that no one can justify.
