So you’re the one holding up the line by writing checks?? Also, if you sites like Etsy, or sho smell online, you’re really helping small creators and business owners, so you must use a credit card.

Also, if you have a phone or walk in public or use a debit card, you are being tracked.

I just responded to this high and mighty post too…but businesses pay for debit cards too. She’d have to pay cash or check.

Amex has 3-4 designs for the Platinum card and they let you pick one. I think it's a cool looking card and I'm a straight man.

The basic issue here is that it seems like OP was never clear about what the issue was. Was it that (1) she has the "ick" that her date has the flower credit card (as the subject line suggests), or (2) she doesn't like that he was defensive when she and the waitress talked about it?

(1) is insane. Bats#!t. It's 2025, get over yourself.

(2) is...maybe somewhat understandable? I would have liked him to be more secure like, "hell yeah I have the flower design! Proud of it, baby!" But even if sheepish, not worth posting to DCUM about.
