Yes, on all counts. So, so sad for her family. |
He has been allowed to leave the DR.

I think her parents may remember Natalie Holloway. |
Is Joshua Steven Ribe from the US as well? |
"Ribe according to local media explained that both he and Konanki entered the sea waters only to be engulfed by a wave, with the man saying he managed to get out, vomiting and falling asleep on the sand. He said when he got out of the water, he thought the young woman, Konanki had done so, too." "Joshua Stevem Ribe, the last person to see Sudiksha Konanki Chowdary, the Indian tourist missing since March 7 at the Riu resort in Bávaro, Punta Cana, has provided his account of the incident. According to Ribe, he and Chowdary were swimming with five other foreign friends when the group decided to return to their rooms, leaving only him and the missing woman on the beach. Ribe stated that strong waves pulled them into the water, and while he managed to escape, he last saw Chowdary with water up to her knees. This version is included in the official complaint filed by her father, Subbarayudu Konanki." |
There’s something wrong with you. |
Yes. 24 years old. Really don't think he orchestrated a kidnapping. Just stinking drunk and dumb. |
That doesn't sound right. |
A great reason not to make your kids too scared to be honest with you. |
That’s why I said “technically”. Adulthood isn’t magically conferred on you when you turn 18. |
He wiped his internet presence very quickly. |
What kind of girlfriends abandon their drunk and wasted friend with a strange boy on a beach in a foreign country at 5am??? |
His lawyer probably told him to. He's the next Joran Vandersloot. |
Horrible ones. |
Same. The news story that I just heard a few hours ago was that her 5 girlfriends left the beach, and she remained behind with another person. Classic hookup scenario. The news report also said her girlfriends remine in DR and are providing assistance and cooperating. They did not mention the other person that was with her at the end. Everyone needs to remind their teens and young adult children that they should NOT go swimming in the ocean at night. Never, ever, ever. Even with people around. Even with a buddy. Even if it's low tide. Even in a bay/inlet. I grew up on the beach. All the drownings we had each year had one thing in common: tourists. And about 75% of those happened at night, too. |
