If you could know the truth about any unsolved mystery, which would it be?

He's been seen more than once in Europe, but he's probably dead by now.

Were the Menendez brothers legitimately molested by their Father or did they just use the “abuse excuse” to try to avoid prison time??

If not - they did a pretty decent acting performance during their first trial.

Their recent claims that the main reason the killed their parents was because they were afraid their Father was going to murder them so they killed their parents as a form of self~defense.

But they were both adults - if they truly feared for their lives they could have just left home.

And why did they feel the need to spend so. much. money so soon after being forced to shoot their parents in self-defense?

When if the letter to the cousin re: being molested was intentionally written 9 mos. prior to the murders as part of the murder plan?
When if they had planned the murders ahead of time then waited the nine mos. so the letter could not be used as a motive for the murder in its initial stage??

Why did Erik confess to murdering his folks to his therapist yet made no mention of being molested?
I mean, if you feel comfortable confessing something as huge as murdering your own parents to a therapist then you should also feel 💯% comfortable discussing sexual abuse.

I am the same age as the brothers are now (55) and I disagree with the fact that sexual molestation was super taboo during 1989.
While it wasn’t discussed as much as it is these days - it certainly wasn’t taboo.

I would love to know the mystery of if any incest actually took place prior to the murders….

What about that Asian girl who was found on top of that hotel in a water tank??

The one who was seen earlier in an elevator seemingly talking to someone?

Also ->
I always wondered if Chris Watts was assisted by his mistress Nicole when he murdered his wife + two daughters.

Serious question, assuming you're actually someone in the know: Wasn't the brother 9 or 10 at the time? I could believe he killed her but I find it hard to believe he was so slick he didn't leave a ton of evidence that would be impossible to cover up. Also, why have the investigators not made this public since the brother is now an adult?

Not the PP. You can research the case. It’s commonly a theory.

It’s been discussed in the CBS series https://www.freep.com/story/entertainment/2016/09/20/cbs-panel-burke-ramsey-killed-sister-jonbenet/90730438/

Burke was also on Dr. Phil: https://youtu.be/g2xR1rdNPOM?si=DdUzj40QaLQKGM9r

Yeah, I've seen that series and read about Burke. However, if the person who claimed their father was an investigator in the case is so sure, I'd love to know how the family managed to cover for him and why he was never charged.

Money. It’s the same way they got to go on CNN. John told Crime Junkie that he had a friend that got them that interview. Money is powerful. It talks, it walks, it helps people look the other way.

Accidentally killed during a s*x act and the guys all covered up for each other.

I initially read about him on DCUM, and googled. All his blood was removed. No blood left in his body, and no traces of the blood in the house where his body was. Freaky, and no way this was an accident. Nobody got charged for his murder.

Where did you get that his body had been drained of blood?? I read that they ran blood samples to look for drugs etc and they were negative, which seems to contradict that. And I just double checked the wikipedia page which mentions nothing of his body being drained of blood

I got curious after your response, and did a quick google search skim. No specific mentions about drained blood, but there was an allusion. This is the old DCUM thread on Robert Wone:

There is really no mystery about this case. It is crystal clear what happened and everyone knows it.

There are a few people who were pursuing justice in their own way against the perpetrator(s) outside of the criminal justice system. I have stopped following the recent developments but hope that one day justice will be fully served.

Np I always thought he did it but parents covered up the crime scene (and feigned surprise when they “found” her). Tons of foot traffic in the home from friends and neighbors after the murder and John picked up and moved her body upstairs before they collected evidence from the scene. I’m not sure what they would have found on her at that point that could have been useful

I do wonder what was going on in that home, though. It sounds like all kids had not just bed wetting but bed soiling issues at pretty old ages.

Already annoyed at the Netflix doc that I hear supports the random intruder theory. In what world does it make any sense. That family knows what happened

A kidnapper who takes the time to write a three page letter and put back the pen in the correct kitchen drawer wouldn’t be leaving the body behind. How would you ever collect a ransom if you leave the body behind?!

Others have come out and said they were also abused by that man, and witnesses say he used to take the boy up into the shower with him as punishment. I mean….

I think it’s obvious that 1,2 or 3 of the men in the house killed him. But I want to know why??? And how?

What are the best podcasts in your opinion? I don’t like crime junkies (the women’s voices get on my nerves for some reason)

The Prosecutors and True Crime All The Time Unsolved are good.

The story is so ludicrous it’s frustrating that shows, podcasts etc are still out there entertaining those obvious lies.

This. I’ll concede that perhaps neither of the parents did it. But it must have been someone known to them. And the fact that the ransom note was probably written by the mother just SCREAMS cover up. I thought the theory of Burke hitting her with the flashlight and killing her accidentally was a good one but I don’t really see a pre pubescent kid sexually assaulting her and choking her afterwords. Especially since he didn’t seem to go on to have any other sort of criminal issues as a teen or adult. And I don’t see either parent finding out about the accident and then staging the crime in such a gruesome way with the sexual assault. So to me, this one is actually a true mystery, unlike so many of the others where a child or adult disappeared from a public place where it’s pretty clear they were intoxicated and drowned/ froze/ etc, or abducted by a stranger.
