I just scrolled through this thread and found it so depressing. We are so bad at visiting other places. An all inclusive in Cancun is not anything close to traveling in Mexico. There is always someplace worthwhile in every place we visit, so lighten up and be a good traveler. I have been to most every place mentioned (except for some Africa locales). Cmon people… |
I love Aruba. Key is to rent a car and go exploring. It is so safe, and the less touristy sites are so accessible. Plus it is Dutch, so they pay to keep things clean and functional. Disney is my #1 most hated spot. Second is Vegas. Ugh to both. I have to go occasionally for work and I make them tolerable with decent dinner reservations. Nothing else has any merit. |
“We” aren’t doing anything. There is no we. These rubes have nothing to do with “us”. |
You definitely missed something. I love Madrid (then again, I’ve been to many Spanish cities and loved all of them!) |
Agree! Was just about to post something similar. |
Great information. Will scratch Branson off my bucket list. Really wanted to see if they had a Mr.Zip |
I think Ethan Hunt hates Vienna |
Ft Lauderdale may be your vibe. Families and dad bod beaches. Water just as nice, temps just a touch cooler. |
I thought everybody was nice there. People are really plasticky in a you do you way but I don’t compare myself to cyborgs. Yall have self esteem issues to let that bother you. |
Madrid was the low point of my trip to Spain. I far preferred Barcelona, Toledo, Segovia, Salamanca, etc. On the way home, we got stuck in Amsterdam overnight. I had more fun in half a day in Amsterdam doing innocuous things (canal boat tour, Van Gogh museum) than in a couple days in Madrid. |

It's just super boring. I lived in LA for 10 years and have either lived in or traveled to almost every country and Paraguay is definitely bottom 10%. Not that it's a tourist destination or anything, but for good reason. |

Try PC Beach. You will feel positively svelte. |
Madrid is a slow burn, grow on you kind of place. Of all the above cities mentioned I'd pick Madrid in a heartbeat for a 3 year assignment, but I can see why it doesn't knock your socks off for a few days. |
