you literally picked the two worst places in FL to visit so you shouldn't write the whole state off based on that!

dp. I hated all of FL, from the Keys to Palm Beach.

FL was the worse vacation I've ever had. I was miserable and didn't enjoy any of the area. Even the beaches sucked because of all the sargassum seaweed.

I have been to the Caribbean (including going through a hurricane), Europe, Asia, and several states. FL was the worst. Never going there again unless I absolutely have to.

That isn't 'all' of Florida. I live in Florida and haven't even been to those places. And I doubt that every single beach you went to happened to have sargassum at that exact moment-it's more likely something you read about and internalized because of your misery.

No, we spent a week in FL, started in the Keys, stayed in various places going up north all the way to Palm Beach. They *all* had terrible sargassum seaweed issues.

google the pictures of massive seaweeds along the Atlantic coast. It was huge and stinky. They tried to clean it up in the morning, but it was so massive they couldn't keep up with it.

Never again will I go to FL, at least from spring to fall. Also, I didn't find most of FL all that interesting. I wouldn't mind spending a bit more time in Key West, but everywhere else was blah.

I don’t love Florida, though the Keys and parts of the Gulf are really nice, but it’s silly to say “never again” because of an abundance of seaweed. The coast isn’t Disney World or a water park. Coastlines are always changing- waves, wind, ocean creatures, and seaweed are always coming and going. I’ve been to Hatteras when the water is almost as blue and clean as the Caribbean. The next day the wind can change directions and the clean blue sea is a muddy green and brown. The water isn’t dirty, rather the waves and wind are churning up the sea floor.

It’s pretty much impossible to hate the beautiful nature spots in Florida unless you hate nature, fauna and flora. Just birding alone is worth it, and the flowers!

I didn’t love the Bahamas. Felt like a cruise ship.

Celebration, Florida on a girls trip. The dumbest town and a terrible place to go on an adults only vacation.

Curious about your (or anyone's) poor experience with Taiwan. It's a place I've wanted to go because of the lush mountain scenery and the food.

NP.

FWIW I absolutely loved Taiwan. Amazing food, kind people, beautiful sights, and I got the best haircut of my life there, communicating only through pointing and drawing a little picture.

Bahamas has over 700 islands. You visited all of them?

I'd say the same about Seaside/Watercolor, Florida.

I wouldn't say I hated it, but my one trip to Puerto Rico left me never wanting to go back.

Jamaica. Beautiful and I'm sure the people there are lovely but the gauntlet of aggressive vendors is too much for me personally to handle. Also I wouldn't go on another cruise, outside of a river cruise through Europe. Other wise I'd love to return to anyone of the places I've visited in the US or internationally.

Vietnam - so dirty, so much litter, very touristy, food was kinda meh, not pretty.

People were lovely though and service was great.

Poor thing, you visited the wrong part.

Can you share what you didn’t like about it? I’m thinking about a trip there with my family this year but kinda on the fence about it. Some people here rave about it, others say it’s a dump. Who do I believe??!

An hour to the nearest grocery store, restaurants only open Wednesday- Saturday, and you had to enter a lottery for a chance to order a pizza at the one pizza place. Was the one time in my life I wanted to cut a vacation short.

I want to hear more about this pizza lottery!

The beautiful beaches and water are on the other side of FL (southwest coast) and the panhandle. Lol, You really didn’t visit very much of the state.

It felt like a poorer version of Miami. Apart from a few nice blocks in old San Juan, the cities/towns are extremely ugly and trashy. The beaches are ok but nothing spectacular.

We were not there in the winter, maybe that's why? I still cannot pinpoint exactly why. Everyone else had a fine enough time, and I went along, but it felt off. Low vibration strange. I've never felt like that anywhere else. And I grew up rural.

I am actually there (here) right now? When did you go? I was here about 8 years ago and thought it was fine. We had a wonderful trip. This time everything (check in area, waterpark, restaurant, condo) seems a bit and poorly run. I was wondering if things have gone downhill or if I’ve gotten pickier.
