Due Diligence happens before joining

Also, you're in the wrong place for subjective reviews

lol. I think you mean “objective reviews”. And this is as good a place as any to try to get info given the utter lack of transparency at the leadership and board level.

PP, just my two cents, but I think it’s worth trying BSC for a year to see if your child likes it. Most of the MLSNext coaches are OK to decent, and none is a straight up disaster, in my experience. There will almost certainly be good kids and parents you’ll get to know, and they will give you the scoop on the pluses and minuses of the club and coaches. The depressing truth is that there aren’t any clear-cut better options around here for most boys.

What about girls ECNL coaches?

What about girls ECNL coaches?

Most girls ECNL teams are KL or SC (and SC has u12 pre-ECNL). They have been discussed on here ad nauseum.

Anyone know what league the U10 (2015) Girls Pre-ECNL team is playing in this year, the 2014 team was NCSL, but the 2010 team is not listed this year.

Is this a new coach you're talking about? When our club played them this spring the coach was screaming insults to the girls. It was awful.

She's a local. Her bio says it all. Her dad was the Churchill Boys varsity coach up until this year.

There are zero insults and she doesn’t yell ever. Pretty quiet during games. You must have seen a different coach, either ECNL or blue team. Definitely not the RL team.

Oh this is RL. Yes, different coach.

Girls side is a total disaster when it comes to treatment. It starts at the top. KL is the ring leader, leads by example with his own antics. This makes is clear to his subordinates that it’s ok to demean, ridicule, and abuse young women. SC is a close 2nd followed by MN.

JC will never do anything about it. The board is complicit and allows this behavior and will never hold him accountable.

But they are good so who cares, right?

This is unfortunately the rationale for many BSC ECNL parents.

2014 U11 ECNL I
2014 U11 ECNL II
2014 U11 Pre ECNL
2014 U11 Blue
2014 U11 White

That's the rationale for most good teams in most team sports. Nothing unique here.

So it’s totally ok, carry on.
