He doesn't strike me as the marrying type. He gets bored too easy. Maybe a relationship like Goldie and Kurt would be more his speed. They never explicitly said they had an open relationship but Bill said Goldie wasn't a monogamous person. Ben needs a committed but flexible relationship where they still give each other space Not many people will put up with it.

Get real. If a marriage is over, it doesn't matter if you have 38,000 or 1,100 sq ft. You are ready to move on. Both of these people are going to date other people. They have kids, who know each other. That space does not mean that you want to share the same roof with your ex. They can each go buy a 19,000 sq ft house of their own.
