Come on, if a parent treat 2 kids differently, do you expect they not be upset?

In that family? It’s pretty standard for the heir. They were given Frogmore and the honor a royal tour. Which they then acted like was a huge imposition.

Unfortunately, UK is still a brown nose classist country.

Frogmore looked like a dump even for me, a middle class American.

In any family. The PP is talking about family dynamics. Rich, privileged kids experience sibling rivalry and jealousy all the time. It might be "standard" for the royal family, but that doesn't make it healthy or easier to accept. They are still people, not programmed robots, as much as they sometimes like to pretend otherwise.

Housing is very different on England.

Now I see that there were likely many negative stories planted by the BRF PR machine that may have influenced my opinion of them. Diana publicly told her side of the story and wasn’t judged for it. Maybe H&M have some good points to make.

I still don’t think the world owes them a lavish living just because Harry was born a prince and think they may indeed be “f***ing grifters,” as the Spotify exec said. But I suspect Meghan’s time with the family was indeed worse than I originally thought and do now think they were unfairly made scapegoats while William could get away with pretty much anything.

Also, I don’t think Harry was lying about the necklace/dog bowl fight and am beginning to wonder if the hints of William’s awful temper may ring true. The Rose and pegging rumors are sounding truer also.

Based on what credible evidence? Links please. Both William and Harry have been described as having tempers their whole lives, perhaps they inherited some of their mother's instability. A search would provide numerous articles re: temperament, that is not in question, but your assertion above, is.

Harry's cousins are where they are because of birth order as well but you don't hear them griping. Or their parents for that matter. Well, maybe Andrew but I mean....

They are all incredibly privileged.

I think Harry is a nice guy, intends to be a good person, rather naive, damaged childhood, was living a weird life where he wasn’t really allowed to have a purpose as the “spare” falls in love with Meghan who I think has some delusions of grandeur, although also trying to be a nice person and is one of those people that kind of invite drama. She could have seen the sh$tshow that is the BRF from a mile away but she proceeded anyway. And I have no doubt there was racism and all that and they are in a difficult spot with needing all the expensive security but I also think they think they are entitled to a very privilege life. It’s all basically exhibit A why the monarchy shouldn’t exist. It really didn’t do Harry any favors.

As a black woman who started out as a huge Harry and Megan fan, +100. I don’t think anyone has clean hands in the situation.

Frogmore, the house that requires a full gut job and renovation. The costs in which Harry and Meghan paid, and they still don’t get the use of.

So what. They couldn’t live in the gardens.

In contrast, look at the huge house Princess Anne was given when she got married, same for Edward and Andrew. None of these people were heirs but the Queen gave them huge properties when they got married. Giving Harry Frogmore was an intentional slight for choosing a biracial wife. If she had been white, he would have been given a nicer home.

How many houses do they have left, after giving so many away? Just curious.

The comparison isn't Harry to Anne, it's Harry to his other cousins. What did Beatrice, Eugenie, Peter, Zara, etc get from the queen when they got married? Anne is a child of the monarch, the rest are all grandchildren. I don't think any of them got sweeping estates.

I think that Peter and Zara have houses on Anne’s estate. I also think that Anne owns Gatcombe Park outright, so presumably Peter and Zara are in a position to inherit it.

I get making the comparison of Harry to his cousins, but keep in mind too, that Harry was a full time working Royal, and his wife Meghan was expected to be as well — unlike Harry’s cousins and their spouses. While his cousins had opportunities to create their own careers and income, Harry and Meghan were expected to represent the crown for life. Given the enormous and presumably life-long restrictions that went along with that, it stands out—to me, at least — that Harry and Meghan were treated quite differently from the other working royals, starting with their housing.

I hope that they were repaid all that they spent to renovate Frogmore Cottage.
