You really don’t get it? I mean you REALLY don’t? “One could argue about tactics”? Seriously?? 10 thousand people including 4 thousand children bombed and unable to flee is not a genocide to you? I’m neither Israeli nor Palestinian but I can see for myself how one sided this is and I’m glad others are calling out atrocities when they see it.

DP. I don't think you understand the words you are using. Genocide has a specific meaning. We saw plenty of civilians killed in the most recent US conflicts. It's not going to phase Americans who are familiar with collateral damage.

I know what a genocide is, and calling justified, collateral damage or whatever else helps you sleep at night does not change the fact that this is a textbook definition of genocide. If it doesn’t phase you, then it you should really think about why the deaths of some are worthy of mourning but not others.

I’ll bite . The actual textbook definition of genocide is “To constitute genocide, there must be a proven intent on the part of perpetrators to physically destroy a national, ethnical, racial or religious group”.

So by that definition, it’s Hamas and their massive base of Palestinian supporters that took a whack at committing genocide. They failed. You don’t get to turn the tables on Israel for defending themselves and rooting out the cancer.

I see problems with your logic.
Hamas attack was terrible, no doubt about that.
In their defense, not to be the devils advocate, they never were in a position to succeed at committing genocide.

What is happening in Gaza and the West Bank is terrible. I cannot for the life of me support Israel. This is not about self defense, not any more

It is actually still about self defense. Almost leader in our country agrees that if Israel stops, Hamas will continue to attack them. And as nicki Haley said at the debate the other night, Hamas is not only a threat to Israel but to the United States.

Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC) is offering $250 for college students to attend the Pro-Israel rally on 11/14 in Washington, DC. The rally is expected to be one of the largest pro-Israel rallies in history. The rally is sponsored by the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

To get reimbursed for travel expenses, students just need to fill out the brief form below. Again, ICC is offering $250 per student to attend the rally in Washington, DC.

Come on Jeff, how biased can you be. Of course travel to the “free Palestine” protest was subsidized too: https://indyliberationcenter.org/answerindiana/indy-to-dc-national-march-free-palestine/

Curious where you are getting your anti-Israel memes to disseminate on your website …

These are not the same things. Your link offers a discounted ticket. No stipend money or anything. The link I posted offers $250 plus reimbursement for travel. What I posted is not a "meme". It is an article from crownheights.info website.

Why can't you engage in honest discussion? You can offer any number of justifications for the $250 payments that would be reasonable. But, instead you make the ridiculous suggestion that a $250 payment plus reimbursed travel expenses is the same as a discounted bus ticket. You aren't even making an effort to be serious.

And pray tell how did you come to be perusing the Crown Heights jewish website? Because you’re looking for fake news to amplify on your website. There are multiple places online you can find that talk about subsidizing attendance at the pro-Palestine protest yet you choose to ignore that and pretend the Jewish supporters are doing something dishonest by doing the exact same thing.

I posted accurate and legitimate information. None of it was "fake news". I can understand that you are embarrassed that students are being offered $250 and reimbursement for travel expenses to attend the rally. If I were you, I would be embarrassed as well. I in no way said that anyone was doing anything dishonest. I would love to see you post even a single time in good faith. But, you simply don't appear capable of such a thing.

Jeff thanks for posting. It’s naive not to see the money at play here. One side is more funded than the other hence billionaires threatening to pull money from campuses they perceive as critical of Israel in any manner.

Jews are allowed to be rich.

Hamas will travel 6,000 miles across the mediterianian sea, through the straights of gibralta and with their mighty navy steam accross atlantic to invade dc!

The reality is very few countries pose threat to USA. You need an enormous navy to get over here, unless you are going through mexico.

I’m the PP. thank you, I feel a little better (not being sarcastic!). I was just repeating what nicki Haley said and figured she was pretty knowledgeable on this. Regardless, it’s a horrible situation for Israel and Palestinian people.

You don’t get to turn the tables on Israel for defending themselves and rooting out the cancer.
. Only a few Jews, not genocide. Justifying this is gross

One could argue about tactics and strategies etc but that core message seems simple and should resonate. Why is this so hard? Why can't people rally behind that? The only people who object would be those who find the existence of Israel to be abhorrent but if they actually say that, how is that now showing their own inhumanity?

Hamas will travel 6,000 miles across the mediterianian sea, through the straights of gibralta and with their mighty navy steam accross atlantic to invade dc!

The reality is very few countries pose threat to USA. You need an enormous navy to get over here, unless you are going through mexico.
