I am SUPER tired of the double standards here! So if we as parents are successful than our kids have no shot at doing anything meaningful because everyone will say oh “Their parents are doctors” or “Their parents are successful lawyers” etc
This guy is literally leaving his comfortable life to be ridiculed to try to run for something he believes in. The payment is 10-15k a year … I don’t get it and our kids are fked because most of us on this board (at least I have) have made something of ourselves and therefore because of that our kids can’t pursue their dreams

Exactly with this thinking Barack Obama or Bill Clinton your daughters are NOT allowed to do anything. You are a millionaire and the ex President which means your girls should stay home and are not allowed to run for office or do anything meaningful because you lived a privileged life. Exactly Be careful what you wish for… if everything keeps going like this we will be in a reverse caste system where: Generation 1 successful (they had their opportunity) so their kids Generation 2 can't have the opportunity but Generation 3 can became their parents couldn't
