Not voting for Biden because travel has gotten horrendous under him

But….the economy….

If people are broke, why are they flying and driving for vacations?

The bad economy narrative is 🐂 💩.

They aren't broke, and to an individual, people are doing great. But because the media has been hammering "the bad economy" and the inflation that is mostly corporate profits (hence the stock market numbers,) the perception is things are worse than reality.

Travel has just gotten so, sooooooo bad under Biden. And what does his transportation secretary Mayor Pete do? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. No pressure on ailrines ever even after they got tons of taxpayer dollars to stay alive. Consumers have almost no recourse and airlines screw up and do something like lose your baggage on a direct flight. Travel in the US and from th US using American airlines is just horrific experience and yet all Biden's hiree mayor Pete does is collect paychecks and do nothing. Biden hired him because he was a diversity hire, but the end results are a disastrous decline in the quality and standards for travel to and from the US.

I've now been on 3 flights domestically within the last 3 years. 2 lost baggage on a friggin direct flight, and the other had such significant delays that it ruined a lot of lodging plans and plans at the destination causing thousands in losses. Of course it has been impossible to obtain any kind of compensation because the airlines' mistakes caused major delays. I'm so done with Biden. We need a competent leader who'll hire the best candidates to do critical jobs like running this country's transportation infrastructure, not have a leader in office who throws a bone to diversity candidates who have no idea what they're doing.

And in your pea brain, Trump will hire competent people?

I have flown several times this year with zero issues.

Yes, because he already did - Ellen Chao - whose resume included (at the time of appointment:

1) US Secretary of Labor

2) Director of Peace Corps

3) Deputy Director of Transportation

4) Chair of the US Maritime Commission

5) Director of the US Maritime Commission.

Had Biden been smart, he would have begged her to stay, rather then hire an incompetent ex-mayor whose sole experience was as a failed mayor of a small midwestern town. Of course he has failed.
Elaine Chao resigned in disgust of Trump after Jan 6. Chalk her up as another competent person who will never work for Trump again.

Okay, then she likely was available and may have listened had Biden gone to her and asked her to take up the job.

But the point isn’t whether Chao would come back if Trump was re-elected. The point is the difference in general hiring practices. Trump searched and found a highly educated, highly qualified candidate with decades of high-level federal management experience generally within the subject field, including in high level positions within the same department she was tasked with leading, while Biden just chose some guy with very little relevant experience who happened to have run against him in the primary and checked a few boxes that made Biden look good. The point is not whether Trump will come in and immediately rehire Chao, it’s that I trust that Trump will find someone who at the very least meets the bare minimum qualifications for the job.

And not just at Transportation. There was that clip of one of Biden’s top economic advisors making it clear he had no idea what inflation even was, and then you look at the three individuals Trump had in that position. Biden’s hire had a masters degree from mediocre public universities and minors academic qualifications, while all three of Trump’s appointees had PHDs from Ivy League universities and decades of practical experience.

In short, Biden simply did not find qualified advisors. Trump did.

Chao’s family owns a giant Chinese shipping conglomerate and thus it was a massive conflict of interest for her to serve as Secretary of Transportation in the first place. Her office also had people in charge of approving federal projects in her husband Mitch McConnell’s home state of Kentucky. This is the Trump administration meat and potatoes corruption that you now laud and hold up as good governance.

So according to you nobody with actual, real-world experience can be appointed to lead a government agency! That is a conflict of interest!

Just hire Mayor Pete with zero relevant experience. Makes total sense.

If they abstain from actions associated with their conflict, that isn't a problem. When did you see any Trump appointee recuse themselves from anything?

Ironically, he has been a very good administrator.

Mayor Pete has done a great job.
The RWNJ ecosphere has tried to come after him many times, but he’s not having it.
The ports are sorted
Airlines have to stop making ridiculous schedules and pay us what they owe us.
He helped PA get the high way reopened in record time.
Snaps.

There are plenty of great candidates with experience who don’t just want to benefit their family business and their spouse’s electoral chances.

Refund us?
What was it?

The Biden-Harris Administration today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has issued a final rule that requires airlines to promptly provide passengers with automatic cash refunds when owed. The new rule makes it easy for passengers to obtain refunds when airlines cancel or significantly change their flights, significantly delay their checked bags, or fail to provide the extra services they purchased.

Thanks for the update, PP. As usual, the administration won't get any thanks from folks on the right for solving an actual problem that needs to be solved.

Stop sharing the actual reality/truth. MAGA does not care.
