Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas headed to divorce

Sounds like it’s not what he saw, but what he heard her saying. He was probably watching her on their cameras for a while… Controlling behavior much?

Some people shouldn’t get married and have kids. She married way too young…especially for a celeb.

Millie Bobbie Brown will probably do the same thing 5 years from now.

Links? A photo of her at a party doesn't count. And a bunch of anonymous quotes don't either-- that's Joe's team trying to smear her

She's currently working in the UK, her first real job since having two kids (getting pregnant with the second like 13 months after the first. She may be going out a bit, I don't see what's wrong with that. She was home for three years.

Yeah, I think this is his narrative. The evidence is photos from one wrap party.

I suspect it was his way or the highway in their house, and the real issue is that she misses the UK and wants to work.

Daily Fail so huge grain of salt, but the article you link says that Joe wanted another kid and she didn't. And then mentions some of the things she's said about missing out on a normal adolescence and university experience because of her early fame and working on GoT.

It makes me very sad for her. She was robbed of her childhood and young adulthood, and now she's married to a guy who wants her to have ANOTHER kid at the age of 27 after popping out two in three years? I do not blame her at all for wanting some semblance of youth and for feeling the pressure in her relationship and from his family was too intense.

It really sounds like he had totally unrealistic expectations for her and had no interest in actually trying to arrange their marriage to meet HER needs, instead of just to live up to some very specific image of what family life is supposed to look like to him. Like, stop at two kids, dude, if your wife is saying she wants to work more and is feeling overwhelmed with responsibility. You don't pressure someone who is already feeling overwhelmed to have more kids. That's just a dick move, sorry.

+1 such fake family values

Have you seen their TikTok accounts? Probably not because you're probably more normal than I am, but I have seen them, and let me tell you they seemed like a really, really fun couple. Of course that was curated but they did a lot of fun stuff together.

I’m PP. In retrospect my post above wasn’t fair to her because he is the one saying that she’s a partier. Even if she is going out, she’s 27!! Who wouldn’t want to go out at 27?! I don’t have TikTok. But he sounds like a drag. If he is fun then he is doing a smear campaign on her.

DP. Obviously I don't know them (I haven't even seen their TikToks, lol). But based just on what I do know, this really seems like a situation where a guy married a gorgeous, talented, successful, young, fun woman, and then tried to put her in a nice confined box so only he could enjoy her. The timing of their marital problems, rumors he wanted more kids even though she clearly doesn't (and is soooo young -- there is no reason for them to have another kid right now when she could definitely have a kid in 6 or 7 years if they decided they wanted more), and then the extremely biased press leaks about her being a partier and painting him as a dutiful father and primary parent when she was home with the kids for actual years before filming this show in the UK. The whole think makes me feel icky. He seems very controlling and scared of Sophie having freedom or independence.

This is how I feel about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, except it seems to be working (so far, anyway).

Oh I don't get this vibe from Blake and Ryan at all. It feels like she kind of runs that relationship more than he does, and I think a lot of their choices (including all their kids and where they choose to live) were driven by her vision for their family. He works more than she does, but she does some very high profile stuff and he is always suuuuuper supportive in a very visible way on it, like when she co-chaired the Met Ball. She also developed her own product via his beverage company and she's been very forward about promoting it and he seems supportive. I don't get that "please just stay home and be quiet and pop out more babies for me" vibe from him the way I very much do from Joe Jonas.

Reynolds and Lively have the similar star status. Jonas is some boy band guy that only certain people know. Turner is a far better known star than he is. I don’t get the sense Lively or Reynolds married down. You do with Turner, she married down.

I was going to say this -- I think being married to Ryan Reynolds adds to Blake's star status. They are this super A-list gorgeous match. And now a beautiful family too.

Joe Jonas - can't imagine what if anything he would do for Sophie's career.

Sounds creepy as hell. I bet she was on the phone venting to a family member/friend/therapist about her marriage and he had the house wired with Ring cameras to spy on her + the kids.

What a Short King loser.

While I agree that Joe clearly has issues, can we stop making everything about his height? Or other physical characteristics? This is likely a personality mismatch for a long term relationship. Kevin and Nick are roughly the same height and come from the same family, but don’t appear to have the same issues.

Speaking of family, I do wonder how much of an impact the full Jonas family has on all their relationships. They are together all the time and it must be difficult as an outsider. One difference with Priyanka/Danielle that I noticed is that their families are also very involved in their lives (despite Priyanka’s family mostly in India), so maybe the transition into the Jonas family was more difficult for Sophie. I get that her family is in England but I’ve never really heard her talk about her family much.

I had never heard of her until they got married. I’ve heard of him for years. No idea the dynamics of their relationship, but I don’t know why everyone assumes he is the only one in the wrong here.
