Coaching staff at Visi

Given what Stone Ridge is doing to start developing their team at the beginning of middle school and their coaching consistency, I predict they will be dominant in the ISL for a while.

If you look at the good MS club teams, a lot of the girls go to other schools than SR, and Visi doesn't even start until 9th (and SR girls will likely leave to go there). Saying that, a lot of things change from MS too. I think you are right on consistent coaching as well as priority put on the program at SR. They do a great job with that.

Bottom line, I think any team in the AA could be competitive.

Any leads?

Any recent communications from the AD (who is is the only one worth a damn over there)?

Will there actually be a dad coach?

Of course there will be a dad coach this Spring.

Visi’s program will gradually suffocate itself after this spring, they can’t get out of their own ways.

Can’t imagine any top 2028 will even consider Visi for admissions and their 2027 class is average.

ISL will turn into a two horse race between SR and the Saints from here on out.

Expect to see Potomac and Holy Child continue to climb.

The lack of any pushback on any of these and similar prior points lead me to believe they are likely on target. What a shame such a great program is on the verge of collapse.

I can't comment on the Visi coaching but I think many of these schools can be competitive in the ISL AA, including Visi. Visi will always have the advantage of having the largest pool of girls (biggest HS) with multi-generational alum families dedicated to the school who wouldn't consider sending their daughters elsewhere. My point is that the forum tends to write off teams before they start and there are surprises. Take a look at the various ISL sports this fall. Yes, strong programs are strong but there are dark horses too. Everyone knows their little corner of the world but aren't paying attention to what is going on elsewhere.

I generally agree with this. I know a couple of good players nearing high school who will go to Visi no matter what.

I wouldn't sleep on SSSAS 2026 (many great players that class) grad year and Potomac School 2025 year (6 D1's). Both will challenge the almighty SR those years.

This is true about SR. I know of several strong 28s and 29s that are considering other programs for high school.

Potomac has six D1 commits in the 2025 class? If that's correct, that's pretty impressive.

NP, I only know of 4: 2 Duke, W&M, and Michigan, which is still a lot. Very impressive.

Also great results at Visi (Stanford) and SR (UNC, ND, Fairfield).

I am pretty sure every team in the ISL AA has at least 1 D 1 recruit in 2025 class except Episcopal and Holton, maybe?

Also, on boys' side, 23 STA class had 2 Penn, Cornell, 2 Bowdoin, and Wesleyan all last year and finished low in the IAC. College recruiting is not the be all end all, as sometimes great kids are playing HS lacrosse who are not college recruits.

Not apples to apples by any means. Comparing boys to girls and 3 D1 & 3 D3's vs 6 D1's

SR has around 65 girls in each middle school class, about 50 of them with continue into SR high school and they will be joined by 50 new girls. The current varsity head coach starts working with the 5th grade club lacrosse players to develop her team 4 years in advance. Visi has to take whoever comes through the door in 9th grade. Maybe Potomac and SSSAS are also working with their middle schoolers this way, I don’t know, but it’s an impressive operation they have going.

SR has 4 D1 recruits not 3 in 2025. UNC, ND, Fairfield and Holy Cross. Their 2024 Class has Denver, Denver, Notre Dame, Butler, Drexel, Amherst. Both the 2026 and 2027 classes are also very loaded.

Pretty sure SSSAS invented this way.

What strong 28 and 29s? The top 28 and 29s are not considering SR or Visi. Most are public school kids anyway.

I would agree. The Pride owner was also going the same route (Pride to Visi) before she got wacked.
