Coaching staff at Visi

Saying that, a lot of things change from MS too. I think you are right on consistent coaching as well as priority put on the program at SR. They do a great job with that.

Bottom line, I think any team in the AA could be competitive.

This is true about SR. I know of several strong 28s and 29s that are considering other programs for high school.

What strong 28 and 29s? The top 28 and 29s are not considering SR or Visi. Most are public school kids anyway.

Most people have no idea who the top players are let alone where they may be going to high school next year.

Thank you! Louder for the delusional dads in the back. Your daughters playing in three clubs in 3 years isn’t a good look.

Anyone who reads an anonymous post and concludes confidently as to the identify of the poster is delusional.

Who plays in 3 clubs in 3 years? I have a few daughters playing lacrosse and I’ve never heard of anyone doing this, though there are certainly some girls who move from almost any time at the end of a season.

Can’t speak to the ‘29s but ‘28 looks to be a very weak year for lax talent. Visi is not losing anyone of any caliber.

28 class is a down year for talent in DC area. 29 class has more talent than 28 class.

You can't speak to the other year, but are confident the one year you can speak to is weak? Compared to what?

Any leads?

Any recent communications from the AD (who is is the only one worth a damn over there)?

Will there actually be a dad coach?

Of course there will be a dad coach this Spring.

Visi’s program will gradually suffocate itself after this spring, they can’t get out of their own ways.

Can’t imagine any top 2028 will even consider Visi for admissions and their 2027 class is average.

ISL will turn into a two horse race between SR and the Saints from here on out.

Expect to see Potomac and Holy Child continue to climb.

The lack of any pushback on any of these and similar prior points lead me to believe they are likely on target. What a shame such a great program is on the verge of collapse.

I can't comment on the Visi coaching but I think many of these schools can be competitive in the ISL AA, including Visi. Visi will always have the advantage of having the largest pool of girls (biggest HS) with multi-generational alum families dedicated to the school who wouldn't consider sending their daughters elsewhere. My point is that the forum tends to write off teams before they start and there are surprises. Take a look at the various ISL sports this fall. Yes, strong programs are strong but there are dark horses too. Everyone knows their little corner of the world but aren't paying attention to what is going on elsewhere.

I generally agree with this. I know a couple of good players nearing high school who will go to Visi no matter what.

Don't be so sure of that... even if mommy is legacy.

SR is recruiting hard and it's the natural alternative to Visi if you live on the Maryland side of the Potomac.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Visi stumble this Spring and finish 4th in the ISL this Spring.

Seniors will be checked out come April.

This wouid surprise me! SR has always been an option for girls that couldn’t get into Visi.

There are 5 very talented Moco girls who are 28s. All play for Heros Green and they are (mostly) all deciding between SR and Visi.

This is interesting. For this group of 5, to what extent would you say the coaching situation at Visi playing a role in their decision? The talking point on this board is 2028s are turning their nose at Visi because of the coaching situation. In my experience this is not true at all. The girls I know want to go to Visi or SR for reasons other than lacrosse. Or at the very least, lacrosse is playing a smaller role in their decision making than other factors.

Don’t sleep on Holy Child. I wouldn’t be surprised if at lease 2-3 of the Hero’s girls join their teammate who already attends HC for middle school.

Has HC named a new head coach?
