Oh, when you put it that way... |
Well, we know that HC isn’t competitive in any area. Unless there’s a competition for being the “most basic” all-girls school. Based on your posts, it’s clear that you’re an alumna of HC. |
Oh, please. It is competitive. Stop with your jealousy. |
| Just being beautiful/gorgeous does NOT mean they're snobby! |
|
We work with a variety of girls at my organization. I have been here going on 12 years and girls from Holy Child have consistently been the hardest working, most polite and most thoughtful kids that we have worked with. Also, another observation - they were the kindest to one another as well - very inclusive with and encouraging to their peers.
I have seen MANY all girls come through here through the years and Holy Child students are consistently like this. I can’t honestly say this about students from other all girls schools. |
So HC girls are hard working, thoughtful, AND beautiful. No wonder the NCS Moms are so jealous and snarky. |
This has 100% been my experience as well. |
Mine too, both the girls and the Moms. |
Lol—I don’t think most NCS Moms have even heard of HC. I’m also quite certain the two applicant pools don’t overlap. |
Our school counselor recommended NCS, Holton and Madeira. We looked at those schools and also Holy Child. Holy Child is actually my DD’s first choice. And you know what? We are totally happy for her if she ends up going there. |
There you go again. |
I'm a NP, and my kids don't go to a single sex school, nor do they go to a religious school, but it is objectively true that NCS is more competitive than HC by a mile. Claiming NCS moms would be jealous of HC kids/moms is a little absurd. |
Just anecdotal but the one I knew was dumb as rocks but very pretty. The guys loved her but she could barely do addition much less anything else and never read anything. She married a gym teacher from another wealthy school. They are both into being physically fit. I guess they have enough money to carry on for another generation? No idea. |
She obviously had an academic disability but in catholic school they don't track those types of things. |
| My DD is at an all girls school (not NCS or Holy Child). The casual misogyny displayed by Holy Child boosters repeatedly talking about how pretty the girls are as if women/girls should be judged on their looks and valued for that. It’s a huge turn off for parents that chose to send their child to an all girls school to learn in an environment that focuses on girls’ academic achievement and empowerment of women. HC boosters make their school sound like a finishing school. Gross. And NCS posters, you are better than this. |
