I feel so grumpy, I really dislike a lot of these! On people I normally enjoy and by designers I normally like. There are really only a handful I like.
I can't figure out if it's just too much black and white and it's boring me, or if the choices are dull or what. I'm underwhelmed and usually I really look forward to the fashion from this event. So far my favorites are Ann Hathaway (Versace safety pin dress rendered in Chanel tweed -- genius), that pink pieced dress on Grace Elizabeth, and Florence Pugh with the silly hat. A few of the men dressed in fun or striking ways, though not necessarily in really amazingly crafted gowns, which is what I watch this event for. Most of the dresses are boring to me. |
