"Justice" a new documentary on Kavanaugh

She was clearly very effected and traumatized by what happened to her and he would never want his own daughters to endure such an event. BUT that he had no memory of having behaved in such a way. He didn’t remember that party and he didn’t remember her. And then pivot to all how he lives his life now.
I think they are both telling the truth.
His behavior was … inexplicable. Surely he was giving some guidance by professionals who deal in crisis PR. If he didn’t I question his judgement…. And if his JUDGEMENT is in question…

That's exactly what he DID say. He acknowledged that something traumatic probably had happened to her, but that HE wasn't the responsible party.

"I categorically and unequivocally deny the allegation against me by Dr. Ford," he's expected to say, according to prepared testimony released by the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday. "I never had any sexual or physical encounter of any kind with Dr. Ford. I am not questioning that Dr. Ford may have been sexually assaulted by some person in some place at some time. But I have never done that to her or to anyone. I am innocent of this charge."

A good reporter probably could have tracked down the real guilty party, assuming it was Georgetown Prep students a few years younger, members of high society like Ford said.

Why should they have capitulated to false accusations? No. Kavanaugh was an excellent choice and picking someone else would have suggested that he was somehow guilty of these allegations. Which he wasn't. The Democrats tried and failed to intimidate.

Kavanaugh was not an excellent choice. There are dozens and dozens of other judges who would have been excellent in his place. He was installed because he is a member of the Federalist Society.

Also, it's a bold statement to call the accusations "false" given that while they weren't definitively proven, they also weren't actually ever You lack sufficient facts to call it "false accusations." Meanwhile, tens of millions of Americans believe Ford over Kavanaugh and found her to be more credible and believable than they found Kavanaugh to be. Also, Kavanaugh's behavior, like a toddler being told it's time to leave the playground, was disgraceful, unprofessional and unbecoming - and that IS a fact.

Here are some facts for you:
You have absolutely no substantiation or proof that he sexually assaulted anyone. You simply believe he's guilty - because one woman claims it is so, 35 years after alleged events allegedly happened. It is YOU who lack sufficient facts to label anyone guilty - there is something called "innocent until proven guilty" in this country. By that standard, he is innocent. And tens of millions of Americans believe Kavanaugh over Ford and found his emotional display of fury to be utterly human, relatable, and expected. THOSE are all facts.

Not true 4000 FBI tips not looked at disagree. I seriously doubt 4000 people waited on the phone for no reason.

There are 6,000 calls about UFOs a year. Surely, a few of these must be valid. Therefore, aliens exist.

The "woke mob" stormed SCOTUS during these hearings. No evidence, no substantiation - they simply wanted Kavanaugh tarred and feathered because of a 35+ yr. old allegation. *That's* the behavior that is disgusting.

Do you all realize that this thread is about the new documentary? It's not about Ford's testimony. It's about other unexplored allegations.

+100

Any activist can create a film, call it a "documentary," fill it with unfounded bogus accusations, and ultimately swindle a bunch of rubes to pay for the film.
So sad that Michael Avenatti is locked up and was unavailable to be featured in this fictional film.

They don’t care. Brett showed, in his own confirmation hearing, that he is unfit. He vowed a personal vendetta. The sexual assaults are just frosting on a poop cake for a man who isn’t all that bright but put in the work as a political tool and was rewarded.

As for the money “being explained” - they don’t care about that, either. They know it’s not a satisfying explanation, they just don’t care about that, either. It took a long time for the “explanation” to come out, which suggests it’s made up.

The guy is a real POS, but that’s who Republicans look for. Their whole entire raison d’etre is “owning the libs.”

And, if Ford lied can she be prosecuted? Because I believe that is much more likely.

Ford clearly lied. I watched her testimony and she showed all signs of lying.

Are you a forensic psychiatrist? If so I’d love to hear more. If not then you are a fool for posting this.

Cute.

No, I'm not a "forensic psychiatrist" but someone trained in a much more relevant discipline.

Ford was clearly lying. She was making things up about her lie-detector test -- it was obvious.

I’m very interested in what that relevant discipline is and what signs you saw.

Won't share the discipline but here is something that was a red flag to me and colleagues.

At some point Ford said that she had taken a lie detector test the very same day her grandma (or mother?) had died. The interviewer then interrupted to doublecheck if that was the case, because you should never take such a test in such an emotional moment, it screws the baseline and the results.

Ford realized that her previous testimony made no sense and improvised something like "Uh I'm not sure, might have been a day before or after the funeral"

Which makes even less sense. Attending your grandma's funeral is one of those moments you remember vividly, and if you took a lie detector test in some office that same day you'd remember it. And if you say it was that day you don't just make things up and then say it might have been a day before or later.

My brother died when I was 28. I went to his funeral and I do know the month but have no idea of the actual date.

You probably also think that Anita Hill lied

It's not about the actual date. You would remember if you did something else major the same day.

Exactly. Especially if it happened less than a year ago and you had spent weeks training your testimony with multiple lawyers (all helpfully provided by the Democratic Party).

Ford was an obvious fraud.

Even with her trained testimony she came off as being unhinged. She was a hot mess and had a crazed look in her eyes. Definitely not a credible witness to everyone except hard core dems.

Yes BK did come across as unhinged. Dod you see all those faces he made? Way too emotional and overly dramatic. Clearly staged. He is such a liar.

I'm going to accuse you of sexual assault. I expect you to remain calm and poised while I do so, televised in front of millions, even if you know you're innocent. Let's see how that goes.
DP

I can think of quite a few instances where similar situations happened where someone was accused, rightly, or wrongly, and did not become as unhinged over it as Kavanaugh did.

Really? Similar situation as in, was falsely accused and then had to immediately be televised while refuting said allegations? Do tell. Examples please.

Sociopaths are very good at keeping calm in situations such as this. They are practiced. Ted Bundy was able to sit on a rape hotline and discuss his own murders with a detective friend he met there.

Yes. Which is why Kavanaugh very clearly is no sociopath. He reacted the way any human being falsely accused would act. Upset.

He acted the way my ex did when I accused him of having an affair. How DARE I accuse him???

Of course, he was cheating the whole time.

Kavanaugh's anger could have been based more in "who the heck do you think you are to question ME, accuse ME, interefere in my appointment, publicly humiliate ME? And not in whether or not Ford's accusastions happened.

I remember Bill Clinton seemed pretty angry about being accused on ML. We all know how that turned out.

Exactly.

And where's the committee for the riot summer of 2020? That was an actual insurrection and went on for months despite the open violence.

You get your idiotic posts deleted but then come right back again. Learn how to form a coherent sentence. Psst: it doesn't mean 4000 people had tips. It likely means LWNJ trolls, just like you, called 4000 times, over and over, in their futile and sad attempt to make sure Kavanaugh wouldn't be confirmed. So sorry your intimidation tactics didn't work.

Who paid off Kavanugh's loans?

Given the quality of the discourse I'd say it must be Ford.

Yeah that's it.

All those right wing judges are paid for their votes by rich conservatives. Conservative groups direct money to spouses or other family members of the justices. A pay out here to make something go away, a spouse gets a do nothing job paying big $$, another spouse suddenly gets a big contractor from a group with a case before the court, etc all is legal. Wish democrats would start doing the same.
