Oh I love this! |
She is no Marilyn. I think anyone is crazy to step into one of Marilyn's gowns/outfits. She was one-of-a-kind. The results will always be negative in comparison. |
Not my style. It's more Cher-like. I am not one for glittery pant suits. |
It's not even flattering to her body. |
I hate myself for saying this - but Marilyn's breasts looked much better in the dress. Kim looks like she's wearing a minimizer that is also making her droopy, maybe? Ugh. |
I never heard anyone referring to MM as large or fat. More like "curvy". That word lost its original meaning, since it is now a PC word, or a code for large and fat. Seeing their pictures next to each other made me realize how beautiful, well proportionate, radiant and natural MM was. Kim in a MM dress is as convincing as a karaoke version of a Whitney Huston's song. |
I'm pretty sure that dress was specifically made and tailored for Monroe so it should have looked great on her. Anyone without MM proportions wouldn't have looked as good. |
| Regardless of whether she looked AS GOOD as marilyn I think she looked great and was SO on theme. What an awesome dress to be able to wear. The fact that she had to have a preservationist walk with her is proof. That is how you do the met gala right there! |
How was it on theme? I think she is a stunning woman - no really - with, obviously, a lot of star power. But I think she looked washed out yesterday. |

This four year old nailed it:

Well, yes, but that's not because MM's proportions were off, she's had a classic figure that was probably "true to size". Kim needs major tailoring no matter what. |
Actually if you read the CNN article someone posted it says she wasn't wearing any undergarments. I think Marilyn looks good but it's very obvious she's not wearing a bra. |
I also believe that Anna Wintour reviews or approves every outfit that comes to the MET Gala. She also has a time slot for each person. |
They also invited popular Tik Tok influencers. It’s about being relevant. It’s sad that this is our pop culture- people who are famous for no talent. |
They are guests of the designers, who invite them to the event to wear their clothes. Designers have an interest in putting their clothes on people who will be photographed and discussed on the internet. |
