Mary Cheh not running for re-election?

It was too late a month ago. But it was really said that Bergman, Duncan, Finley and Frumin couldn't figure it out. If Goulet wins, we can blame their egos for that.

I am not sure why you would blame Frumin. He has outraised everyone else in the race and most particularly by donors from Ward 3. He cannot ask or force others to come to the rational decision that the other campaigns are not as viable as his.

Tricia Duncan’s campaign, endorsed by Cheh, is not as viable as Frumin?

Bergman and Finely are ego campaigns and pretty sad ones at that. But the idea that only Frumin, the perennial loser candidate, is the only viable one to win is silly. How many times has he lost in the past?

She literally received 12 donations in the last month. 12. And only a couple of those after the so-called endorsement. That is anemic and shows that other than the Palisades community Association, her campaign has zero traction across the Ward.

He has never ran for the Ward 3 Council position. He ran for city wide at-large and lost. So what.

Duncan, Bergman and Finley need to drop out and endorse Frumin to block Goulet.

I lived in Ward 2 for many years when Jack Evans was the councilmember. I know what it's like to have a representative who feel absolutely no obligation to the people of the ward, only to the moneyed interests that installed him. It's not good.

Ironically, Evans has endorsed Goulet.

I do, as well. Ward 3 has suffered with Know-it-all Cheh all these years.

Trish Duncan’s support in the Palisades is definitely underwhelming. I guess they know her best.

Goulet ran the year Cheh won for the first time and finished like 8th out of 9. Guess he's a loser too?

If I can judge Goulet by his enemies, I think he’s going to be exactly what the council needs.

Vote Frumin. It’s on balance, smart, predictable and not messy

LOL. It’s funny how afraid people are of Goulet winning. What’s the problem with some fiscal discipline and reality based policy making?

Honestly, if folks are worried about DC going the SF route, Frumin would be a step in that direction.

What’s the difference on the issues? Matt Frumin is more relatable, not a wonk

Have a read of the Axios article. The guy doesn’t seem to be competent. He also has been endorsed by some of the scummiest people to have sat on the Council over the past decade, changes his position depending on who is talking to, lacks tact and has an over-inflated view of the importance of his own emotions, and has been caught out telling straight lies. If you think he would make a good representative, you place a very heavy value on vapid populism.

Anonymous dark money donors have dropped a quarter million dollars into Goulet's campaign. They must want something in return. That's what I'm afraid of.

His racist response to a question about attracting people of color to live in the ward is a tell.
His taking of DFER support is a tell.
His alleged campaign finance violation related to benefiting from a poll that wasn't his is a tell.
The fact he has had no community engagement or notable volunteer efforts despite living in the Ward for more than a decade is a tell.
