Season finale was not interesting at all. Nothing in it to make someone come back for more.

What about Peggy's son?!

I enjoyed the finale- the first season had some issues but I like to watch it as comfort tv. Looking forward to season 2.

I enjoy it because it is stress free TV.

Yes they've got to make that a main storyline in season 2. I have to admit I had a hard time getting into it at first but by ep 4 I was all in.

Interesting how Raikes not showing up is just like the way guys ghost today.

Didn't feel the need to send word or give her the conversation she deserved. Just ignore her and it will be fine, I won't be affected. When finally confronted: We can be friends right?? You still want to be friends with me, right? That way, we'll all know that I'm still a great person despite my actions.

Too many men suck and always have!

I don't understand why he agreed to the plan at all. He could have just skipped the whole thing.

Right? Why did he keep pursuing her if he had set his sights higher? He had a very easy out – the aunt doesn't like him. But to get all the way to the day of the elopement and then ghost and wait to be confronted was a bizarre way for it to play out.

+1 It interested me enough to keep watching. And I'll watch anything starring Carrie Coon.

NP. I just started watching this and have to say - I think Carrie Coon is wildly miscast. I loved her in The Leftovers. She is quirky, modern, and just odd enough to fit that role perfectly. This period role? Not at ALL. She sounds like she's reading straight off her script and I can't believe her character for one minute. She's just Carrie Coon in period clothing.

Totally agree. Horribly wooden dialogue. And as others have pointed out, it's just Downton Abbey but not nearly as well written. I find it all very "wink wink" see what we're talking about here??

Agreed. She was magnificent in The Leftovers, is not right in this role. The whole cast is pretty tepid, with the exception of Denee Benton (the true standout) and Morgan Spector. Don't grasp why Christine Baranski agreed to do it, given the awful writing for her character.

It was so bad. Are they making a 2nd season?
