Will your DC wear mask to school when Youngkin lifts school mask mandate next week?

Yay I love learning that our amazing graduate-level teachers are so completely unable to read data. And I love knowing you view my kids as vectors of disease.

They were vectors of germs and viruses before COVID. 😊

exactly! what is wrong with some of these teachers? calling other people anxiety ridden? Are you kidding me?

APS just issued a statement reiterating that the current mask requirements stand.

ALL? In a regular public school? Yeah right, sure you do. There are so many public education drama queens on here.
I'm a middle school teacher. I knew back in Spring 2020 that letting my colleagues out of the classroom was the worst thing we could do. So many of them didn't want to be there anyway and were simply collectiong a paycheck. It is the dirty little secret of public education and the unions that enable this mediocrity and gorging at the public trough. Due to the pandemic, the cat is out of the bag. Is it any wnder that this has become an extremely divisive issue?

+1 put unmasked kids in the back and group them among themselves for class projects.

Make them all sit outside round back.

SB1303 requires schools to follow CDC recommendations. Youngkin can’t override that. So he can’t allow the opt-out because schools are following the law to continue to require them.

Youngkin has immediately put school children at risk. Absolutely disgusting.

Risk? here we go with another fear mongering drama queen. That is what is disgusting

I wonder how many students will show up to school next week ā€œopting outā€.

My concern is the lack of staff, especially subs.

Could they group all the masked kids in one class and all the unmasked together in a different class? That would be better than mixing them together.

I was on the fence and leaning towards resigning at the end of the year to stay home with my kids for a few years. If kids start showing up maskless, I’m out and just resigning mid-year. I’m not putting up with this sh*t anymore. Why not have a threshold at which masks come off and then back on?

Not in MS/HS - the master schedule is complex enough as it is.

God you made a rude comment. Thank you school nurse for coming in everyday! To the PP all schools in Fairfax and Arlington call it the clinic. That is its name as far as schools are concerned. Get over yourself and understand the lingo here please. I found it odd when I moved here but that is local convention. Learn something. She or he wasn’t being holier than thou- that is it’s name.
