Help! I booked My Drs Pharmacy for Monday but just a general appointment-now they are saying they won’t have ped vaccine until Tuesday.

Is anyone getting the vaccine tomorrow at Children’s? I am afraid it will be a zoo.

Yes, I got confirmations and everything. But you are right that when I go to do it now it’s no longer an option (I booked less than an hour ago).

I was able to do VAMS appts at Dulles for 2 of my 3 kids, then they all disappeared. I may bring the 3rd kid with me on Friday and beg, ha.

CVS near Manassas has appointments if you are up for the drive

Do any CVS inside DC (not MD or VA) have appointments? I put in my DC zip and several surrounding and saw nothing. But as soon as I put in a MD zip I was given spots in VA.

Availability is constantly shifting. Just keep checking.

May drag second DC to first DC appointment with the hope that they can both get it at the same time. First DC will be fully vaxxed by thanksgiving (not with the additional two weeks) but second DC will not. Too bad you can’t schedule more than one child at the same time. I may keep checking to see if I can find another one closer/sooner and also see what our health department does this weekend.

How does this schedule get you two shots in before Thanksgiving? Three weeks from this Monday is after Thanksgiving.

I wonder this too

On the CVS site, there is some disclaimer that walk in appointments are available, as long as there is availability. I'm sure bringing in the 3rd kid would be fine.

My guess, but I'm curious how CVS will control walk in appts.

or kids have survived this long what's another month?

You don't understand how viruses spread do you? I know 2 kids who contracted covid last week. So yes, they survived, but I'd like to avoid my kids contracting this virus before they are vaccinated against it.

Also, we have an anti-mask governor who just got elected. So yes, I want my kids vaccinated ASAP.

I absolutely do know how viruses spread. I also understand risk. I plan on vaccinating my kid but I also don't plan on driving myself crazy competing for appointments. I have one scheduled for December if something pops up sooner cool, but if not no big deal. We've traveled numerous times this past year.

I's also like to see how the masses respond to the vaccine before I give it to my kid.

Not funny. Don’t do this to people. It’s still 12+ at Safeway.

This is PP. I’m not lying. I tried Giant and CVS websites, but they wouldn’t let me go further once I put in the birthdate. But the Safeway one did. I put in the birthdate and all the rest of the info and it let me make an appointment for phase 1 of Pfizer. I am in Alexandria. I had to do a search to see which Safeway had available appointments but I got one for tomorrow. Then the system preloaded all my DCs info onto the waiver that I have to print out and bring with us and it clearly states my child is 11. So I guess we see what happens.

The Safeway website says: PLEASE NOTE: Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for ages 5-11 years. We're now offering Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 at on-site school clinics. Please contact your local school district for more information. (Individual appointments will be in-store in the future. Please check back in a week.)

They’re gone for now, but as a former vaccine hunter I remember they do a few stores at a time. Cvs usually does a large dump in the am around 6.

Agree with what the previous poster said. As a data point, I booked at 5:30 AM this morning and they had plenty.

Thanks, I'll look first thing tomorrow AM. I scheduled through the INOVA link a few days ago, but am worried they're going to cancel those.

I'm really annoyed that Moco hasn't sent out detailed information about vaccine clinics for this weekend. a nearby Middle school or health center would be my preferred location rather than taking DS out of school for a shot at a far away CVS.
