I've heard from people that they have gotten the Inova spots. But they are definitely full.

Wondering about MoCo or if it will be pandemonium again. My pediatrician says they won't have any vaccine for weeks.

I don't think so. I've read several articles indicating that the administration is different and that they will be using smaller needles as well. My own pediatrician stated the same, and they've been routinely giving out the Pfizer vaccine to 12+ patients.

Yes. Its diluted and packaged differently. Once has a purple top and one has orange, forget which is which.

Where was it ever "pandemonium"?

I don't think there's going to be enough demand for the 5-11 vaccine to have DC run out quickly. If you're worried and in DC, you should go to one of the low-vax wards' clinics.

This is OP and I'm thinking the Inova one may have been released in error but I'm going to sit tight until my appointment is cancelled (if that's what happens). They should be available to sign up tomorrow regardless, though I heard elsewhere the vaccine may not be physically available til next week.

Most likely in error. CDC is meeting tomorrow. It is expected that there will be committee approval and then it will go to the Head of CDC for approval. THEN appointments can start.

No empathy as my kids have been home since this started and out of school due to selfish people like you bringing in covid to the schools.

You only care about yourself, not your child. Got it. Life still will not be back to "normal" but your life really hasn't changed except having your kid home for a week. It really sucks for your child to have to be with parents who cannot be bothered with them.

Not the PP, but I think the larger concern is the amount of school missed by said child being home for a week due to being a "close contact" with another child who tested positive while not actually testing positive themselves. Then there are those children who DO subsequently test positive. It's a mess; one that this approval will hopefully stave off eventually.

The ped. probably cannot schedule that many appointments in a day so it makes sense.

Yes, I care so little about my child because I want him to get the vaccine as soon as possible and to actually be in school.

They ARE in school. Its supposed to be safe for in person school and the risk according to DCUM is low so why do you need to get it the first day its released.
