The White Lotus season 2

Prompted by all this discussion, I went back and watched the opening of Ep. 1. Definitely vague since Daphne is by herself on the beach, only one drink. But refers to "we leave in a few hours" as if there is all still a group intact and happy. The body she finds are slender, female legs (like Mia or Lucia). Def. not Tanya.

I’m confident Lucia dies because she ties many characters together

True. But the other thing is, there's a time and a place for a relaxing vacation vs an adventurous vacation. I like both, but they are not the same.

Also, for me, the adventure I enjoy the most is not trying a new restaurant every night. I like seeing new museums and archeological sites. To each his own.

You seriously cannot go to Italy and NOT experience the good. My god!! Start watching Stanley Tucci’s “Taste of Italy” on CNN stat.

I am 1/4 Italian and what you say is sac religious! And go first to the tiny family places not the restaurants with plastic food menus with pictures or Michelin stars. The best Italian food is amongst the locals and little hole in the wall family joints.

25% Italian, 100% insufferable

This made me laugh out loud, although I don't agree with you. PP is right.

In the season 7 trailer, there are scenes of the fourple enjoying a calm dinner on their final night, a scene of Daphne on the beach in a red shirt asking Ethan what’s wrong and Ethan later with a mad face on the beach with Daphne in the background still wearing the red shirt. There’s a scene of Cameron angrily flossing his teeth, and a scene of Ethan and Cam fighting on the beach. Then there also is a scene with a close up of Harper’s face looking like she’s about to do something wrong, then the scene with Harper saying Ethan, what’s going to happen to us. Then of course the last scene timewise in that arc is Daphne in a different outfit, calm at the beach, then she discovers the body.

My best guess is Ethan spills to Daphne about Lucia. Daphne is mad but in the presence of Cam she acts perky and somehow it is revealed that the blonde kid isn’t his, it’s the trainers. Ha ha. Cam pretends to not care in front of her, but his retaliation is to hit on Harper. Ethan finds out and they confront each other in a rage. At some point either Ethan or Harper accidentally or in self defense kills Cam. Cam isn’t the floating body. Ethan and Harper are smart and probably cover up so it doesn’t look like they were involved. This strengthens their relationship.

Alternatively; Daphne snaps when confronted with direct news from Ethan of Cam’s cheating. She is the one who kills Cam ala Dateline (remember her comment about scuba diving). No one suspects because she puts on a calm face. The facts make it look like Ethan might have done it, which is why they are worried. Daphne wins. But it doesn’t really fit with the coincidence of her finding a different body in the ocean.

I thought he was gorgeous

Serious question, you’d call that elephant trunk? It’s not that big, is it?

I thought he looked great naked

Somewhat related: have others noticed that there has been lots of male nudity in the season and little or no female nudity? I’m assuming that Mike White is purposely doing his part to even out the usual dynamic of clothed men and naked women.

I haven’t personally found any of the scenes to be “sexy,” but I absolutely love that the women don’t have to carry the burden of all the nudity, for once.

She has great perky boobs by the way
I’ve seen a lot of Lucia’s boobs and ass but no other woman’s nudity.

If Lucia dies that be the thing that restores the relationship between Dom and Albie. They just go home with a better understanding of each other and act like this event never happened.

Yes. This is why I think the fourple drama may end with them reverting to their "roles" and and just going home. Or the opening scene with Daphne is the beginning of the end, and not the end. Or we just get the fourple's reaction to the deaths, which would also be interesting.

I feel like this is a LOT to wrap up in one episode - is Sunday's finale a longer episode than usual?

Lucia and the gays die. I don’t think anyone else does

It’s obvious Albie proposes to take Lucia to LA with them, to “save her,” or pay tens of $1000s to “save here”, sicne Dom is telling him he can “save every desperate woman he finds.”
Maybe Albie trails Lucia at 6pm and sees her having a nice dinner at home with her “pimp” boyfriend and then cutting out to go do her prostitution ploy work for major $$$$. That would solve that.

Maybe the hotel manager dies again. On accident.

No she is also in the opening scene. Rocco comes to tell Valentina about the dead guests. It is definitely not Valentina. I do feel like there is an off chance that the death is Isabella, assaulted by the other front desk person.

A lot of times this show is about how people are so in their own heads they are not paying attention to the world around them. We've gotten a lot of information about Isabella, but she has been very peripheral. But she complained about the gross guy hitting on her, and Valentina was somewhat responsible for that situation. And Rocco was relocated to the beach club so she might have had a reason to go down there. I do think there will be some type of r*pe scene, and think that there really has only been one woman to articulate that she feels threatened by a specific man in the whole show, and that is Isabella and the sleazy guy Valentina put at the desk with her.

Well if she does, it happens after the other bodies are found since we've already seen Rocco informing her of the deaths.

DP. Anyone that goes to Italy and dies not care about the food or seek it out is somebody that is literally dead inside.

Of course. I went to Italy for my honeymoon and had to grow a new stomach to hold all the pasta I ate. But the above poster is also clearly insufferable
