So if taking or not taking an action by a government official is a crime if they think they will politically benefit from it, I guess all politicians are looking at jail time.

Perhaps if Schiff would conduct these "interviews" in a more transparent way, or would release the transcripts of those interviewed, there would be no issue.

The House is conducting an investigation. Investigations are not usually public.

They need not be public. But, preventing other members of the House from accessing information AND preventing the Republicans from having an ability to subpoena others indicates that this is not about getting the facts. It's all about promoting a narrative.

Guiliani is the only person any Republican in the House or Senate said they wanted to talk to, but he is defying the subpoena. Interestingly, Trump has not presented any witness willing to testify on his behalf. If such a person existed, he would have told us by now.

What Biden and his son did is irrelevant to the impeachment inquiry. Trumputin committed a crime by asking a foreign government to help him dig up dirt on his political opponent. Don’t get distracted by anything else. POTUS committed a crime, and he will he impeached for it.

And Barr’s son in law is a White House attorney. And his daughter has some attorney position in government.
